Had a great stay at this wonderful hillside hotel. We were fortunate enough to stay in the end unit with a beautiful balcony. Could not get over the views both day and night. The room was large and very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the patio was great . You must be prepared for the steps if you are going to Positano. The hotel is 250 steps up from the beach and another 160 up to the street.

What an incredible hotel. We woke up in paradise with the view which we could share whilst having breakfast! The staff were incredibly tentative and as we first got to the hotel they even made us the best bruschetta after a long day of travelling, when there was no restaurants open. We really did feel at home there. I would like to thank them all for an unforgettable stay is Positano, one I will never forget! Thank you!

All was fantastic. Room was beautiful, with amazing views. The staff was very nice and helpful, explained us about the location, ferry hours, luggage service, near restaurants. We really enjoy the breakfast with view. Also the hotel has a mini bar with good alternatives.

Hotel Dimora Fornillo was super communicative from the get go, and arranged help with our luggage upon arrival. I almost cried when I walked into the room and saw the views. Absolutely breathtaking. The room was spacious and clean, and the air conditioning was a nice reprieve from the heat outside. The location was convenient, either walk on the main road downhill to town (many restaurants and shops along the way), or take the steps down to Fornillo Beach and the ferry landing. Breakfast (included) with a view was unmatched, and the price point for Positano was fair. Highly recommend! Didn't even want to leave our balcony at night to go to bed so I could keep staring at the views :)

My husband and I booked two nights during our honeymoon and our experience was below average. When we arrived the staff did help us with our bags and were very friendly. When we got into the room, we noticed ants crawling in our bedroom area and inside of our bathroom. When we first addressed the staff about the issue, we were told "it because of the heat and the outside garden." They did spray our room which seemed to initially solve the problem. It is a lot of steps to city center which can be difficult on a hot day. The next day we noticed more ants on our pillows. When we addressed the staff again they gave us a bottle of bug spray to spray our room. We ultimately checked out early and stayed elsewhere. The staff were very friendly and the views are beautiful from the balcony, but ultimately did not feel clean.

Probably the best terrace in the whole of Positano, with gorgeous ceramic tables! As it is up the Fornillo Beach it is a little bit removed from the crowded city center, which is nevertheless only a short walk away. Very helpful and accomodating staff!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay here in early May. Highlights included the stunning views from our balcony and the nicest staff of any hotel we've ever stayed. The hotel is not on the street; you have to take stairs either up or down to get to the hotel, but we knew this ahead of time and we appreciated that the hotel was tucked away in a quieter area. The room was fairly basic (though bed was comfortable), and the bathroom was pretty outdated-- with a tiny shower and the most old-fashioned, hose-style hair dryer that was essentially useless. With some bathroom upgrades, this would be the perfect place. That said, the value for Positano is excellent and we would definitely stay again.

Dimora Fornillo was an absolute gem. My partner and I had a fantastic 2 nights and enjoyed the beautiful views, breakfast, lovely staff, clean rooms and ease of getting to the beach and Positano centre. It was great value for money and they let us keep our bags there for the afternoon upon check out

This place really was the coolest place I have ever stayed at. The panoramic view of Positano is unbelievable. Postcard material. The staff was so lovely. It was our 25 year anniversary trip and I could not have asked for a better place. Franco who helped us feel welcomed and served us breakfast was awesome. Nadia (I think that was her name) that made our room was awesome. I would definitely recommend this place.
