Hotel Spa Porto Cristo

Dieses Hotel war eine meiner letzten Stationen während einer Pressereise mit Catalan Adventures in Zusammenarbeit mit der Zeitung The Scotsman. Insgesamt hatte ich eine ausgezeichnete Zeit in der Einrichtung und war sehr beeindruckt von der malerischen Lage, dem luxuriösen Zimmer, das ich genoss (mit einem erstklassigen Whirlpool) und anderen Annehmlichkeiten wie der gekühlten Wasserflasche der Hotelmarke, die im Voraus vor meiner Ankunft organisiert wurde . Der erste Empfang enttäuschte jedoch eine ansonsten hervorragende Erfahrung, da der Herr an der Rezeption nicht freundlich war und einen kalten Ton für das Haus angab. Andere Mitarbeiter zeigten jedoch später die Kultur der Wärme und Höflichkeit, die ich erwartet hatte, und ich schätzte ihre Bemühungen.

Schönes Hotel, perfekte Lage, großes Zimmer und großes, sauberes Bett, aber wo das Erdgeschoss weh tut, ist der Lärm aus dem Whirlpool des Nachbarn im Obergeschoss wirklich unerträglich. Wir haben die Rezeption angerufen, weil wir dachten, dass unser Whirlpool ein Problem hatte! Ich bin verärgert, weil mein romantisches Wochenende ruiniert war und der Preis des Zimmers nicht dem schlechten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis entsprach

Funktionales Hotel. Personal nicht einladend. Keine Möglichkeit, draußen zu sitzen. Zimmer wenig inspirierend Gäste dicht beieinander, obwohl es sich um ein großes Hotel handelt. El Port de la Selva ist reizend: Es wäre großartig, eine Aussicht / Aussicht zu haben, um es zu schätzen. Könnte besser sein!!

Liegt buchstäblich auf der anderen Straßenseite vom Strand entfernt. Gut gepflegtes und sauberes Hotel. Hilfsbereites und höfliches Personal. Wunderbar abwechslungsreiches Essen. Wir dachten, der einzige Nachteil sei der Mangel an Platz im Kleiderschrank / Stauraum in den Zimmern. Nirgendwo kann man ein Kleid aufhängen, ohne dass der Boden zerknittert ist und nur zwei Schubladen. Wir haben es geschafft, aber sehr wenig ausgepackt. Wir würden das Hotel jedoch wieder buchen.

Stadthotel im „spanischen“ traditionellen Stil, einen Block vom Meer entfernt, viel Marmor. Effizientes Einchecken, Zimmer in Lebensmittelgröße, wenn auch etwas altmodisch eingerichtet. Ruhig und komfortabel. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück mit viel frischem Obst, einer Auswahl an frischem Brot und Gebäck, Speck und Eiern, Nespresso und normalen Kaffeeoptionen. Spa nicht genutzt.

This is a 4 star hotel because it has a spa but as a guest you can’t use the spa unless you pay another 45 Euros ( per hour). We were allocated a small room - which did have a bath but the room itself was not particularly clean and there was no where to put anything. The gentleman who checked us in seemed unimpressed that we were not wowed by the fact there was free WiFi ( a basic given even in a 2 star hotel). The staff in general seemed annoyed that there were guests present messing up their hotel but without the walkers and motorcyclists there would be no business outside of peak season. The most disappointing hotel of our walking week.

The bed was very comfortable the room was a decent size, the bathroom was very good, the hotel was ideally located and convenient for the village centre, restaurants and shopping and only a stone’s throw from the sandy beach. We went every evening and took a cup of coffee on to the open air roof garden, plus we had a great view from our room of the sea with the boats bobbing in the harbour The hotel staff were very dour and uncommunicative No greetings or conversation whatsoever, it went also for the breakfast room staff. Breakfast was very limited but quite acceptable. Porte de la Selva is beautiful, where the predominant occupation is eating, and very good too. Water-sports are in abundance, the population is Catalan, and very reluctant to even speak Spanish plenty of French tourists no English at all in the 4 days we were there. We found it quite hard to make ourselves understood, but it all added to the charm of the place. We used to holiday at Porte de la Selva in the late seventies and early eighties and couldn’t believe how little it had changed, the same restaurants and shops, same layout and same beauty. The biggest change was the cost, the Porte is quite expensive these days, but the restaurants serve great fish and shell fish, we particularly liked the Restaurant Monterray the Turbot and Dover sole were exceptional. We will be going back and we will stay in the Porto Cristo Brian & Wendy Mabbott July 2023

Accueil décevant, en fait pas d’accueil ! Chambre lugubre : si rien ne manque toute la décoration est à repenser ! Petit déjeuner correct. Nous sommes allés voir les places de parking derrière l’hôtel: elle nous ont fait si peu confiance que nous nous sommes garés sur le parking en face du restaurant qui nous avait été recommandé en bord de mer.
