Fuego del Sol Beachfront Hotel

We (daughter, friend and I) had a wonderful long weekend at Hotel Fuego del Sol. The location is fantastic, right on the beach, the rooms are large, very comfortable and clean, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The AC works great (thank goodness, as it was very hot when we were there!). We spent time in the lovely hotel pool and ate our dinners at the hotel restaurant, which has a very nice menu and generous portions. The free breakfasts were pretty good. I understand the hotel was renovated within the last year or so and they did a great job with it -- past reviews of the hotel are irrelevant to how it is today!

I ended up renting a room here due to the so called resort next door Marea Brava was unsafe and unsanitary. Hotel Fuego was in walking distance. I walked over and rented a room for two nights. The room was very clean. Wi-Fi was provided. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Do not stay at Marea Brava next door it is awful compared to this place. Which I highly recommend.

We had a four night stay and enjoyed every minute of it! The grounds are clean and beautiful. As soon as you walk around and see the beach, restaurant and nice pool, you’ll realize you lucked out because some of the nearby hotels aren’t as nice. The restaurant served a really nice free breakfast and everything we had there was delicious - the chicken nachos, shrimp rice, mussels , and mahi mahi were favorites. Ramona makes a great Bloody Mary and Miguel was always wonderful. The beach has the dark sand and massive waves, with a no swimming rule to keep people safe. If you walk down the beach, you’ll see people surfing and some beach bars and restaurants that have great food and drinks. I loved walking along the shoreline and found some cool rocks and even a sand dollar! Another great perk- there’s a great restaurant at the top of the street you can walk to in less than 5 minutes. Most important to mention- this place is quiet and totally chill. It wouldn’t be for party people or people with young children. There were a variety of ages but definitely geared more towards couples/adults. I

Lovely poolside room - spacious and clean and bed comfortable. Grounds very nice and hotel is at the beach. Loved watching the scarlet macaws. Staff were friendly and reception staff very helpful. Only downside was the number of mosquitos in the room - I was bitten quite badly.

The room was tastefully decorated and had a nice patio overlooking the sea. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant offered a wide range of food including vegetarian. The service was good and the food was delicious. All of the facilities were excellent.

It was all very clean, the brushes for feet cleaning was a good idea Reyner Arguetas service along with the entire team was fiendly and sincere. It is at a natural reserve, i ate at the restaurant and both food and drinks are great

Wonderful location!!! Best stafff with Alan and Reiner!!A beatiful swimming pool WITH a Lot of drinks. Delicious!!! Amazing Beach with excelente waves to surf!!! If you need a place to relax, this is the best! I like more the bed and the views of the beach.

Het hotel is recentelijk flink vernieuwd! Het is nu heerlijk rustig en we hebben kamers 101 en 201. We kijken uit op de stille oceaan. De kamers en de rest van het hotel is zeer schoon en hygiënisch. Fijne warme douche, goede bedden, airco en i-tv (met goede stabiele wifi) Het zwembad en privé strand worden zeer goed bijgehouden. De staff is erg vriendelijk en spreekt goed Engels. Het restaurant is top! We eten er heerlijk en de porties zijn erg groot en rijkelijk! Absolute aanrader!
