Tides Oceanview Inn and Cottages

Tides was very nice to stay for the night . Very reasonably priced. Close to downtown and beach. Great stay in Pismo.

The view was amazing the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly can't complain the rooms were comfortable we booked 3 rooms and had a good time there is some construction going on but they were quiet so no complaints also had good quality coffee in the room

Our family, which included one family member in a wheelchair, took a road trip down HWY 1 from San Diego to San Francisco. We chose this hotel based off the photos and handicapped accessible room they offered. We arrived later in the evening however we called to let them know of our anticipated arrival time. When we arrived, after driving 8 hours, we were not given our hadicap accessible room per our reservation and had to maneuver our daughters wheel chair down a wet grassy slope and up two stairs and a raised door threshold to get her in the room. The bathrooms did not work well for her either. Getting back to the car the next day was even worse as it was raining and we had to take the wheelchair up the grass hill and down the stairs. To top it off, we had very noisy guests above us that were up until after 2:00am. We have reached out to management about our issues using multiple methods and so far (it has been 3 days) we have had no response. All and all, it was a horrible experience for our family. Be advised that the photos on the website are marketing enhancements and do not truly represent the property. The hotel is set back from the coast line and the rooms need updating.
