Agriturismo Il Drago

Elegance, friendliness, abundant beauty, serenity, peacefulness, caring, farm to table, organic, respect, welcoming, attention to detail, clean, family...this for us was a 5* experience. We were welcomed with joy & smiles. We were cared for as if we were family. The drive to this beautiful place is wonderful, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, rolling hills, peace & quiet. Serene, natural elegance. The room was very comfortable, the pool is fantastic, the views are breathtaking, the silence is palpable. We were blown away by the heart of Signor Filippo & his wife, the friendly welcome by Salvo, the vibrancy of Samu who took care of our evening in the restaurant & the sincerity of Carlo the chef who so thoughtfully created vegan dishes for me & delicious local dishes for my husband. We were so touched by our experience here. It's a little corner of paradise. We'd definitely stay again & highly recommend staying in the hotel or bringing your camper & staying in the fully equipped grounds. A very special place, cared for by a very special group of people. Superb service. Excellent food and outstanding views. Beautifully designed and very comfortable. Chose this hotel as we had been to see the magnificent mosaics near Piazza Armerina. We extended our stay at Il Drago as it was so comfortable and there were nice walks nearby too. The swimming pool area is magnificent. Highly recommend Il Drago for a relaxing break.

We went off season (well late May for the Italians is off season) o no-one there but fully staffed and nothing too much trouble. The buildings are beautifully designed, spotless and finished to the highest level. Now picture this with adjacent pools, acres of agricultural land (incusing a Walnut orchard), livestock, a zoo, a river valley, hills ... I like an early morning walk and clocked 10km within the grounds never crossing the same path twice. Stunning views in tranquil and landscaped grounds over the centre of Sicily (no villages just countryside ) Finally, the food. Highest end and freshest you are likely to find with generous variety and all prepared with love and served in the most romantic of dining rooms. We won't go back as it can't possibly be this good again but I bet it would be. If a pool is important to you on an agrituristic trip, check it is open. We loved the frogs who were making the most of a delayed start to the season as work on the pool was not quite complete.

As part of our roadtrip trough Sicily we stayed here for two nights. It has been nothing but wonderful! A beautiful spot, very very friendly staff and the food was amazing. Gamini, the cook did everything to make us feel at home and he prepared the most wonderful dishes for us!! No need to go to another restaurant, everything you want is right here. Sadly tomorrow after breakfast we’re leaving but we we’ll never forget this wonderful place!

Very welcoming place to relax and you will be greated and taken care by incredible staff. Rooms are cleaned everyday and fresh clean towels are made available. Taken care for gluten and lactose intolerance in every meal. Enjoyed the chilled beer by the incredible fresh pool. Recommend for everyone. Secure motorcycle parking available. We spent a weekend at Il Drago and we couldn't have chosen a better place where to stay. Everything was amazing, super friendly staff who treated us like family, mouth-watering food, impeccable views, and clean rooms. Will definitely visit again as this was an unforgettable holiday. Highly recommended!
