We have just returned from spending 2 nights in the Shannon chalet. The setting is very peaceful and the chalet comfortable with everything one needed. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We did find the drain at the front of the cottage full of sand which caused a large puddle which needs to be attended to. The other small thing was someone spilled potato chips under the lounge cushions which should be cleaned underneath. In saying that we will be back.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We were in Chalet 1, very relaxing, enjoyed sitting on verandah and watching the lake and all the many variety of birds. Debbie and Pete were very friendly and helpful, especially on things to do, places to see, where to eat!! Chalet was very clean, comfortable. We had no mobile/internet connection but we didn't mind and was in town for meals, sightseeing, so caught up on phone calls etc there . The Lavender Cafe had just closed for a break after the school holidays so missed enjoying their pancakes (next time!!) Book direct for best prices!!! Will stay again.

From the moment we drove through the gates we new we hade made a great decision to stay here. Nestled on the edge of the forest these lovely rammed earth chalets are an ideal place to forget about the world. Cosy log fire and and veranda that overlooks a picturesque lake and trees. Owners are very welcoming . Wish we had stayed longer.
