Worst stay ever. Not worth the money. Food is disgusting. Very poor service. No cleanliness maintained. Waste of money

Had a wonderful 2 night stay in the treehouse at rainforest resort. It may be a bit pricey but the treehouse is worth the cost. It has such a wonderful view of the falls and the sound is just amazing. The tree house has air on and WiFi so is super comfortable and we enjoyed just sitting on the balcony watching the falls and deer, both of which are just fantastic. The food was delicious and although it is a set menu they discuss it with you and make sure it is something you will enjoy, which we certainly did. The only thing is that the pool area could do with a bit of sprucing up but I think it is little used at that time of year. All the staff were super friendly and courteous. A must place to visit if you want a special memories.

A beautiful resort at a scenic location, managed by some FRAUDULENT staff I have stayed at Rainforest resort, Athirappilly, on 11/12th May 2024 and had to undergo the organised loot by the fraudulent management and staff at the resort.Everything was good, other than the food( very limited choices, we need to have what they offer)at the resort till the check out time where the planned, organised loot by the staff starts.When you check in, the so called doctor at the resort brief you regarding the activities at the resort. He told that as we have booked the celestial room, we will be having complimentary spa service and trekking.Even though we were not interested in the above said activities, we thought of trying out the offer as these were promised as complimentary.The organised loot starts during your check out.The staff will give you a heavy bill of Rs3950/- for spa service and trekking which was offered as complimentary. When you enquire regarding the same, they will tell you that the complimentary service was offered to only one person and the other person had to pay the charges which seems to be a funny explanation. Another couple was also having the same experience and they too were having an altercation with the staff regarding the same issue. It then became evident that it’s an organised loot by the staff either with the knowledge of the management or may be with the silent consent of the management. Few hours after check out, one of the manager called for the review where I explained all these, but there was no solution or sorry from his side also. So please be vigilant with the freebies offered by the staff over there.When I went through the previous reviews, I have seen some review where the staff contacting a tourist for some more money, and he is telling that if he doesn’t send that it will be cut from his salary. The same strategy was being used with us and I have yielded to that. So please be aware of these fraudulent staffs and be safe.

We stayed in their celestial room, which had beautiful view of the Athirapalli waterfalls. The continuous roaring of the waterfalls with the complimentary foot massage was so so relaxing. The room had jacuzzi which we enjoyed. They offer u kerala cuisine for all meals-very tasty and what adds to it is the view of waterfalls. Staff is humble, helpful and soft spoken. The waterfalls entry ticket counter is just 2 mins away from the resort. They also have their herbal tea for sale- u can buy and njoy at ur own place. Overall, very nice experience… would definitely like to visit again and recommend others to stay..

My experience in rain forest Welcome given on a very rude manner. Welcome drinks and snacks were given but before even we finish it the manager was in a hurry to put us in our room. Since there was an vip guest they want to be present there and treated us very rudely. Food : menu is fixed and you can't have what u like to have. Imagine you are on a vacation and you can't even eat wat you feel like eating. Once I called for a cup of tea to reception. Back call came that tea is available in the room and you can make it with water. I insisted that i want tea with milk and sugar. Not with hot water. Another incident is that i called up reception for any pain relief oil for headache. I was surprised that the call was answered by ayurvedic doctor who is sitting on reception. Initially he said in our lab we don't have any kind of pain relief oil. And after insisting he said that i have to purchase it for 300 rs. I mean these are all some basic first aid that they should be ready in middle of the forest. Bathroom drain was fully clogged with dirt and not cleaned properly... No basic aminities like kettle, spoon, brush, paste, inside the room. And no food is allowed inside the room. (For this I guess they shud have a valid reason.) Manager was very rude in the sense he was more like ordering and not a service friendly person. I felt like a jail when there was a restriction in food menu and stict instruction to come by 8 for treaking. Apart from the view the hotel has nothing. Swimming pool was so dirty that no one could use it. May be they will treat oly vip's as their guest and not normal people who book the room for the same price as paid by the vip's. Very disappointing behaviour by the general manager. Not worth visiting rain forest resort.

a beautiful property, with a view of athirapally waterfalls from each room. excellent location, a bit on the pricey side. lovely staff, always helpful to our need. they also have a complimentary food massage and hike to the falls with their staff. the food is authentic kerala cuisine. food is only served in the dining area (no room service). they do have wifi, but the connection is not good. the room are below the ground level and you need to climb stairs to go to your room and back to the dining area. so be careful to book this property if you have mobility issues or knee problems. if you only want to relax, the a beautiful view this is for you
