This place worked for me, but it's certainly not an ideal stay, expecially at the price. I had probably their smallest studio. The positives: *The studio had everything that was advertised. I had a room at the back of the building - which I HIGHLY recommend. The lone window overlooked a local small church and a little park associated with the church. I enjoyed the green, the quiet (especially given this is a densely populated area), along with the fun views of the backsides of the neighboring buildings, and the children at play in the afternoons. I never turned on the AC or heat; just opened and closed the window; very nice. *The shower was decently hot and adequately strong pressure. The towels were lovely - fluffy and thick and large. *The bathroom had a towel drying rack as well as hooks; very nice and appreciated in a compact apartment. *The kitchen had everything it needed to have to do some basic cooking/heating/reheating. The all--in-one stove/microwave (and all appliances) had good instructions in the apt. manual. *The high ceiling and paint/wallpaper, along with the lone big window, made the space feel comfortable. *The clothes washer/dryer worked nicely and was much appreciated. (Do be aware these all-in-one washer/dryers either a) require hang dry of damp clothing, which is what I did, or a very long dry cycle.) * I appreciated having a safe large enough for my tablet, cash, credit cards, passport. Location, location, location. *This place is far enough (a couple of blocks) from the wonderful Rue Cler to not hear the noise of people and traffic (at least on the back side of the building), and yet Rue Cler - with its fruit store, fromagerie, etc., as well as a little Franprix with helpful staff - is just steps away. Very convenient for food shopping. * I took the bus over to the Eiffel Tower area, but it's really fairly close. I walked back. * My 1:1 tour guide recommened bakery Maison Othon two blocks away, and I very much enjoyed their bread, sandwiches, and pastries. Outstanding and a good value. * I highly recommend Bistrot Behhara also very nearby. An elderly neighbor lady stopped me while I was reading its menu and told me how delicious it was (and I had already read really good reviews online), and then she and four also elderly friends came in for lunch while I lunching there. Fun! The place filled up 100% over the lunch hour, but arriving before noon, I was seated immediately. I appreciated some guidance from the waiter (who spoke much better English than I did French). * A nearby bus stop (buy your pass first elsewhere) is just a block away (down Rue Amelie which is in front of the hotel), and your standard Google Maps guide can show you which buses to take and how to find them. Wonderful way to look at the city as you travel; slower but more enjoyable than the subway. Although I did take advantage of G7 & Uber, I mostly just took the bus and walked. The negatives: * I had to climb up precari
