I stayed at this hotel for a few nights and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I checked in after midnight following a long day of travel and, being exhausted, didn’t double-check whether I’d been given the room I actually paid for. The next morning, I woke up early for a 5am bike tour and noticed something felt off, but I was too tired to fully process it. When I returned from the tour and tried to nap, I was woken by loud noise from the hallway, followed by a call from reception saying someone needed to come into my room to fix the air conditioning—something I wasn’t even aware was an issue. I was half-asleep but let them in because they insisted.
The next morning, I was woken up again—this time by very loud noise from the room next door. I finally checked my booking on Trip.com and realized I hadn’t been given the room I reserved, which included a city view. I went to reception and explained the issue. The man at the front desk told me very bluntly that the hotel prioritizes placing families in rooms next to each other and that, because I was traveling alone, I was not a priority. That’s why I didn’t get the room I paid for.
This was extremely disappointing—not only because I didn’t receive what I booked, but also because of the lack of communication and the way the situation was handled. I understand that room adjustments happen, but to downgrade a guest without informing them, then justify it by saying they’re “not a priority” is simply unacceptable.
The location is great, but unfortunately, the service and disregard for guest comfort left me feeling very unwelcome.
