The hotel is beautiful, everything is newly renovated. Lobby, bar and restaurant are stylish and create a lovely calm tropical environment. Pool is huge and never too crowded and is a great place to relax. It is mostly an open-air concept so lacks air-conditioning in lobby, corridors and bar. Diamond upgrade to an ocean view top floor room with balcony, which was spacious, quiet, immaculately clean and comfortable with all expected amenities of a Hilton room, and an awesome view over the pool and ocean. Modern bathroom with big walk-in shower. It is very expensive to eat and drink in the hotel but to reduce costs there is a very handy shopping centre and supermarket connected via an undercover bridge. There are some minor service issues (first world problems I know, but when you pay so much for a hotel room you don't expect them). - Pillows go flat too easily, there is no firmer option - need a pillow menu! - Breakfast is ok (had worse, had better) but seems understaffed - things run out and aren't re-filled, and there is sometimes a long wait at the egg station with no proper queueing system. - Lack of training at check-in, the staff member was friendly and welcoming but had no clue about any of the Diamond benefits. - Pool towel system is odd - you have to give them a card to get a towel then retrieve the card when you are done - only problem is they keep running out of cards to give back!?

Wir kamen um 9 Uhr in der heißen Regen, so nahmen wir einen Taxi. (Ich fühle mich, als ob wir ausgeschrottet... er bezahlte uns ca. 20 $, um die 400 Meter auf den Hügel zu fahren...nicht die Hotels schuld überhaupt) Wir haben uns von einem gemütlichen Gentleman auf dem Vorderbüro begrüßt. Er hat uns schnell geprüft. Sie haben einen Aufzug, aber Sie müssen 5 Treppen hoch, um zum Aufzug zu kommen. (Ich habe keine Rampe gesehen) Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und aktualisiert. Nice flooring. AC funktionierte großartig! Brand neue große fluffy Handtücher und brand neue Blätter. Das Bett war fest und wir schliefen großartig! Anständiger Kissen plus ein Extra im Kleidungskabine. Dusche hatte einen guten Druck und war heiß. Sie lieferten nur einen flüssigen “Seife”-Dispenser in der Nähe des Tauchs. Kein Shampoo, Klimaanlage oder Körperwasch. Eine warme Wasserkette wurde mit instant Kaffee und Tee geliefert. Sie konnten Frühstück kaufen, aber wir nicht. Check out war einfach und die Vordertafel Dame sagte uns den Weg direkt nach dem Flughafen. Es gab ein paar Treppen und es war ein bisschen schlank wegen des Regens. Ich konnte für eine Nacht empfehlen.

wir hatten wohl glück denn unser aufenthalt stimmte perfekt. man braucht ein auto denn das hotel ist abgelegen, (autovermietung im haus) super freundliches personal speziell die reception toll, restaurant gutes essen (hat seinen preis) service meistens überfordert und hat keine zeit sich um alle gäste zu kümmern. sehr empfehlenswert sind die clubsandwiches und die pizza auf der terrasse am wasser zum happyhour. super ist der strand schwarz und sehr sauber und feinsandig herrlich wirklich top. zimmer im zweiten stock mit wirlpool super und das wellenrauschen in der nacht ist einfach toll ( der depp der das beanstandete dass er die wellen auch nachts bei geschlossenem fenster hören konnte sollte einfach nichts sagen.) leute gibts... nur kopfschütteln, alles in allem wir hatten vier herrliche tage auch die ausflüge die im hotel angeboten werden sind nicht überteuert wie üblich auch sehr nette leute bei der vermittlung.

Sehr sauberes Hotel, relativ zentral gelegen, aber nicht durch Fluglärm gestört. Zimmer sehr sauber gut ausgestattet allerdings auch schon ein paar Tage alt. Essen ist tahitianisch gewöhnungsbedürftig, da hier nicht so heiß gegessen wird die Europa. Ist wirklich so. In der Umgebung gibt es zwei große Einkaufsläden, wo man hervorragend Snacks, Getränke und Lebensmittel bekommen kann. Der kleinere ist in circa 15 Minuten gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. die polynesischen Freundlichkeit wird hier absolut gelebt. Ideal um nach der langen Anreise sich erst mal auf die Idee zu akklimatisieren und dann eine Rundreise zu starten. Am Wochenende ist das Hotel sehr gut besucht. Wichtig sind die Frühstückszeiten die relativ zeitig beginnen und auch enden. Auch hier gilt: Mückenschutz nicht vergessen.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel à la Pension Te Miti à Tahiti. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement Fred et son épouse, qui s'est montré disponible et très serviable tout au long de notre séjour. La pension est idéalement située à quelques minutes à pied d'une belle plage de sable blanc, ce qui permet de profiter pleinement des eaux cristallines de Tahiti. De plus, elle est à proximité de plusieurs commodités locales, ce qui est très pratique pour explorer les environs sans avoir à se déplacer trop loin. Les chambres sont simples mais confortables et propres. Elles offrent tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour un séjour agréable. La décoration est authentique et reflète bien l'atmosphère polynésienne. Le petit-déjeuner est délicieux et comprend des fruits frais locaux, du pain, et des confitures . Fred et son épouse sont toujours prêt à donner des conseils sur les meilleures excursions à faire et les endroits à visiter. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les recommandations pour des activités locales et des restaurants. La Pension Te Miti offre une ambiance conviviale et détendue. C'est un lieu parfait pour se détendre et se déconnecter. Les espaces communs sont agréables et bien entretenus, avec des jardins tropicaux qui ajoutent une touche de verdure et de tranquillité. Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent. Pour un prix très raisonnable, vous bénéficiez d'un service de qualité et d'un cadre paradisiaque. C'est une excellente option pour ceux qui veulent vivre une expérience authentique sans se ruiner. En résumé, nous recommandons vivement la Pension Te Miti à tous ceux qui cherchent un hébergement abordable, confortable et convivial à Tahiti. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter !

So we were staying on Tahiti but planned a day trip by ferry/car to Morrea. After sunset we planned to return to the port to take the ferry back to Tahiti. We got back to the port but no ferry! There happened to be a girl there so I asked if it's late. She said no ferry till the next day!! (I had booked the wrong day) She was on the fone with someone in French and finally said...come over here! So Timmy showed up and he happened to be the supervisor at the Manava. After speaking with his friend at the front desk, even though the resort was sold out, Timmy was able to offer us a very special, low rate that even included breakfast. Still stunned we drove to the resort and saw his friend (sorry his name starts with L) checked us in and helped us with other questions we had AND then take us to our room to show us around. We were treated to a garden bungalow (pictured) with private pool and garden. The room itself was enormous with all amenities and comfort. After we settled we went to the bar to relax and have some bar food. When we were there the live entertainment was just leaving but the scene was still very active. The next morning after breakfast, we headed to the infinity pool which was fantastic. The views were amazing in all directions. The view to the sea includes the overwafer bungalows and the opposite view was the hotel and the dramatic mountains rising in the background. We've been to a lot of resorts and can tell sincerity of the staff and at the Manava everyone smiled and offered Tahitian hospitality at every corner. We were able to spend some time after checkout at the pool until, sadly, it was time to leave for our ferry (we booked accurately this time). I'm in the travel business myself and have been telling everyone when in Morrea, the Manava is the place to be. A warm maururu to Timmy and his staff for saving us and making us feel welcomed.

Check in was easy. There is a main circle driveway n a separate larger parking lot to the right of the hotel. Each room has a fridge, kitchenette, n kettle with coffee n tea supplied. The outdoor garden porch has a table n four chairs. We spent hours watching the chickens n drinking coffee. The bed was comfortable. The pool is amazing n directly adjacent to a small beach. There is a manned pool bar where you can sit n play cards. They have water equipment for use-kayaks, etc. There are multiple beds at the beach which is located on the bay. The sunsets are incredible. Across the bridge is the restaurant. It provides breakfast, lunch, n dinner which wildly convenient if you’re not in the mood to cook in your suite. I would suggest renting a vehicle if you’re staying for any length of time. We rented a vehicle n took the car across with the ferry. The vehicle was a stick shift. It enabled us to visit beaches, overlooks, shops, n small businesses around the island for lunch. There were multiple families from France on extended vacations. Family friendly hotel. There were no language barriers with staff or the community. Everyone appears to speak English. The hotel concierge will arrange whale watching, snorkeling tours, ATV, etc. you can access most of the tours from the restaurant dock or the front lobby. Other hotel occupants were coming to meet tours at the Cooks Bay Hotel dock. The staff are welcoming n helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Das Hotel liegt an einer schönen Lagune mit einem Hausriff was sich bestens zum Schnorcheln eignet. Das die Anlage in die Jahre gekommen ist stellt man an allen Ecken des Hotels fest. Der kleine Pool ist in einem heruntergekommenen Zustand überall geht der Lack ab und es macht keinen Spaß in diesem zu baden. Das man am Pool für 3 Personen des öfteren nur 1 Handtuch sich abholen kann mit dem Hinweis das die Wäscherei gerade nicht nachkommt ist zwar kein großes Drama aber in der Summe der Mängel störend. Auch die Gartenbungalows mit Pool sind zwar in Ordnung aber die lieblos dekorierte Terrasse mit den völlig kaputten Liegen lädt nicht gerade zum verweilen ein. Beim Abendessen im Strandrestaurant bekommt man die Vorspeisen gleichzeitig mit den Hauptspeisen serviert und das mehrere Getränke laufend einfach vergessen werden ist noch harmlos zu dem Umstand das nach einem 3 Stunden dauernden Abendessen keinerlei Geschirr abgeräumt wurde und wir dies am Tisch stapeln mussten. Zuständig hierfür scheint ein Restaurantmanager zu sein welcher an Arroganz nicht zu überbieten ist. Dieser hat den Abendservice in keinerlei Weise im Griff. Höhepunkt war dann der nächste morgen wo ein kleines Buffet neben dem Frühstücksrestaurant aufgebaut war mit dem Hinweis das man sich nach einer langen Anreise hier gerne erfrischen kann. Nachdem ich mir dort ein kleines Croissant im vorbeigehen genommen hatte wurde ich barsch aus 15 Meter Entfernung von diesem Oberkellner welcher auch für das Chaos beim Abendessen am Vorabend zuständig war auf unfreundlichste Art darauf hingewiesen das das Empfangsbuffet nur für Neuanreisende gedacht ist. Am nächsten Morgen war auf diesem Schild der Zusatz angebracht - nur für neu angereiste Gäste. Ich versuchte an der Rezeption dies vorzutragen aber seitens des dort zuständigen Managements war keinerlei Reaktion vorhanden. In der Summe ein sehr abgewohntes Hotel ohne Charme und Stil wo es auf der Insel mehrere alternativen gibt wo man auch für deutlich weniger Geld nicht abgezockt wird und nicht auf Plastikliegen im 70 er Jahre Styling am Strand liegen muss.
