OYO Lonsdale Guest House

We were traveling by car and struggled to find the place as there are no visible signs showing Lonsdale Guest House on the roadside. We found the place from the address, but there was noone there. We eventually found a sign at the door asking guests to call or visit the guest house two houses next and finally shown to our room on the second floor. The room was modest but seemed to be equipped with all basic facilities. But the kettle was full of scale, and even after washing, the coffee did not taste good at all. Breakfast was served at the guest house where the staff were. The staff on duty the next day were different from the staff on the first day, which made things complicated as I had been made to pay the accommodation fee twice and seeking a refund (which I finally got). Other than juice, fruit and cereals you help yourselves to, the breakfast was limited to eggs and toast. Although the bus service to Oxford is quite good and there are restaurants and shops around the area, I felt the accommodation fee I paid quite expensive compared to the room and services.
