Hotel-Pension Breig

We visited the Black Forest for the first time as part of a road trip from the UK to Italy. When we researched accommodation we felt that Hotel-Pension Breig would very much suit our requirements having read the many positive reviews. We were not dissapointed. Monika is an excellent host. She dealt with our booking enquiry efficiently and accommodated our late request to stay an extra night. On arrival, she made us feel very welcome and took time to show us around her Hotel and explained all the available facilities. The hotel is small but was very clean and pleasant and our room was very comfortable. The hotel does not offer dinner but there are two hotel restaurants within easy walking distance both offering good menu choices. We booked the accomodation on a bed and breakfast basis which we would very much recommend. The breakfast choice is wide and the food fresh and plentiful. All staff we met were very friendly and attentive. Ottenhofen itself is an ideal location for exploring the Black Forest. There are walks accessible directly from the the town which is only a short distance (ten minute walk) from the hotel. There is also a small rail station serving the town which runs to Achern (20 minutes) and from there, rail connections to other parts of the Black Forest including Freiburg im Breisgau, Triberg and Baden-Baden. Staying at Hotel-Pension Brieg qualifies for a Konus Card which entitles you to free public transort on buses/regional trains. On our trip we stayed in seven different hotels/B&B's and Hotel-Pension Breig was our stand out favourite.

Een erg mooi, kleinschalig hotel in een klein dorpje. Ontvangst was warm en hartelijk. Het hotel is zeer goed onderhouden en alles is erg netjes en schoon. Kamer was ruim met een balkon. Ontbijt was zeer goed verzorgd. Kortom, een aanrader.
