"We had a fantastic stay at Moana Hotel. The location is perfect—just a few steps from the harbor, making it very convenient while still feeling peaceful and authentic. Our room was spacious, clean, and very well equipped. The beds deserve special mention—the mattresses were excellent and made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. What truly makes this place special, however, is the host. Suhuku turns a simple stay into a real experience. From the warm and refreshing welcome drink to her thoughtful advice on planning our volcano hikes, she made us feel immediately at home. The real highlight was Suhuku’s taxi service. She not only drives you, she creates an experience: taking us to the trailhead for our hike, picking us up at the onsen afterward, bringing us to a neighboring village for dinner, and even collecting us after the restaurant—all along beautiful panoramic routes. There is no rushing—she clearly takes pride in showing the beauty of the island. Another unforgettable moment was breakfast, where we enjoyed a spectacular view of Mount Fuji—simply breathtaking and the perfect way to start the day. This level of care and individuality made us feel like VIP guests throughout our stay. Suhuku’s Moana Hotel is an absolute insider tip—we would highly recommend it and would definitely come back."

"I was originally planning to visit Hachijojima, but my flight was canceled on the day of departure, so I ended up heading to Izu Oshima instead. Looking for a place to stay at the last minute, I found KON and booked it based on its excellent reviews. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The owner picked me up at the port with a sign, shared information about the island during the drive, and even stopped at scenic spots so I could take photos. I stayed in the main building, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The tatami mats had recently been replaced, giving the room a wonderful fresh scent. The property was well-maintained, well-equipped, and had a nostalgic countryside atmosphere that made it easy to relax. There are several restaurants nearby, including a great ramen shop and a sushi restaurant called Minato sushi by the harbor that I highly recommend. One unexpected highlight was discovering the manga in the room. The title was Kore Kaite Shine, which is set on Izu Oshima. I learned that the author often stays at KON, and the protagonist’s home was reportedly modeled after the guesthouse itself. What started as an unexpected change of plans turned into a fantastic stay. The warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and unique local charm made this a memorable experience. I would gladly stay at KON again on my next visit to Izu Oshima."

"Firstly, Izu Oshima doesn't have many tourist attractions overall. Most of the people I saw were middle-aged and elderly people hiking. Even on weekdays during the Camellia Festival, there weren't many tourists. I personally think the high cost of the steamboat ticket (9200 yen one way) is one reason. Secondly, the hotel is located in Motomachi Port, which recently stops at Okada Port. It takes another half hour by bus to get there. The hotel is quite old. The receptionist was an elderly gentleman, probably almost 90, but he was clear-headed and spoke basic English without any problems. The hot spring bath was rather small, and the breakfast was traditional Japanese. I probably won't go back to this destination again. Public transportation on the island is also quite expensive; a one-way trip to the volcano costs over 1000 yen, and a one-day pass seems to be 2050 yen. I went to Oshima Park, which is free, which is a good thing. It includes the Camellia Garden and the zoo, but the camellias weren't as abundant as I expected; the ones in the greenhouse were better."

"Ich bin zufrieden mit dem Zimmer, dem Essen und dem Schlafzimmer. Nur drei Zimmer, so dass ich langsam essen kann. Ich habe den Wein als Geburtstagsfeier gegessen. Von den Gemüse- und Gemüsekörnern bis zu den beiden Hauptgerichten ist das Fleisch von Rindfleisch und Rindfleisch ...... großartig. Ich habe eine Menge lokaler Gemüse verwendet, auch wenn ich auf der Reise nicht fehlte. Es gibt viele Dinge zum Frühstück, der Fisch und der Fisch am nächsten Tag sind völlig flach. Danke für Ihre Feier. Ich habe auch Milch gefordert und genossen in den Schalen im Zimmer. Auf jeden Fall bin ich froh, dass ich die Reise, die voller Begeisterung für alles ist, voll genießen kann."

The refrigerator takes a long time to cool down. The toilet was average. There was no sign that the bathroom floor had been cleaned. There are towels and bath towels in the changing room of the bath. There are disposable toothbrushes and razors. I have an interdental brush, but I'm too scared to use it. There was no sign that the floor was being cleaned. The bathroom is average. The water was hot but felt good. Shampoo is usually fine. A cockroach appears in the room. Be careful not to get stung. The breakfast is voluminous, but I don't think it's to the taste of Japanese people. I have no appetite. I have a glass cup, but I don't have the courage to use it. The table is not dirty. It's more like a guesthouse than a hotel. Is a Chinese lady running the business by herself? Speak well. I don't feel bad talking about it though. Traveling in Izu Oshima I searched for accommodation on the internet and this was the only place I found. There seem to be very few accommodations posted online. So I think it would be a good idea to ask the Oshima Tourism Association. In a sense, it's a great inn. If you experience this place, other accommodations might be heaven 😊"

"Sehr gemütliche und schöne Wohnungen an der Ozeanküste. Zwei Tage frei und würde gerne bleiben. Innerhalb alles vom Baum, Design ist mit Geschmack gemacht. Es gibt ein Schlafzimmer, ein japanisches Zimmer mit Fußgängern (wir beschlossen, in ihm zu schlafen), ein Kellerzimmer und ein geräumiges Loungebereich. Und am Abend ist es sehr schön im Bad zu liegen. Der Gastgeber ist ein sehr nett alter Mann."

"Good points: View from the open-air bath. Shuttle bus to the port (not surprising, since there are no local buses on weekdays!). Bad points: Wi-Fi - useless in the room. Room - renovated bed room, but no good in many ways. Room is spacious, but too much wasted space. Bed... electric bed. It's probably expensive, but pointless. Nice washroom... but like the washroom in a service area, when you put your hand over it, water trickles... you can't adjust it, you can only fill the pot in the room in the bathroom, and the structure means you can't fill the aquarium with water. Food - sashimi... we ordered separately, but it was awful. I've never had such bad sashimi before, it was full of strings and couldn't be chewed, and it had no freshness at all, so we skewered it and fried it. Rice - bad. Staff response - I know they're trying their best, but they're not used to it, they don't know what to do. Is the food here catered? Are there no cooks in the kitchen? Large public bath: Old and not well maintained. Only the view from the open-air bath is good. Smoking area: Only outside the building. Isn't that a problem in terms of crime prevention?"

Ich feierte den Geburtstag meiner Freunde, aber die sorgfältig konzipierten Gerichte und der handgemachte Kuchen machen mich warm, die beste Erinnerung. Die Schale im Zimmer ist sehr wunderschön und es gibt eine große private Schale. Morgen Morgen können Sie in der Vogelgeräusche tief atmen. Sie können die Inseln 々 und den Berg Fuji sehen. "Ich habe im Hotel Kailani während einer kürzlich gefahrenen Reise nach Izu Oshima Island (Fährfahrt von Tokio) geblieben. Das Hotel liegt an den Hügeln des Hafens von Habu, mit Wasserfront-Aussichten und 2 Gehminuten von einem der besten Aussichtspunkte auf der Insel entfernt. Das Hotel war sauber, ruhig, geräumig, mit vielen Einrichtungen und Einrichtungen, und ein großes Frühstück täglich von Mutter und Tochter kocht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und Sie können wirklich die Pflege und Aufmerksamkeit, die dem Hotel zugewiesen wurden, fühlen.
