Extremely filthy hotel. Dirty linen, nasty stains on bedding, no housekeeping (I was literally told they don't have housekeepers and no security), very foul odors, water stains on the ceiling in room, really sketchy looking people hanging around making the place feel very unsafe, broken bathroom sink faucet, dirty carpet in room. The refrigerator barely worked. The room had really cheap and uncomfortable furniture, including the bed. The bed is literally a flat mattress on a spring platform. I could go on an on, but I'll just say this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. This Red Roof hotel in Opelika, Alabama is a run down joke. It needs a lot of renovation and cleaning, and additional staff. I won't stay there again, unless there is just nothing else available in town. I did not enjoy this experience at all.

The help was very friendly and obliging. Even had early check in for us. Once in we found the hotel poorly maintained and accumulations of dust on bed rails and other surfaces. The floors were cleaned where tiled but the rugs were spotted and dirty. Once again, employees were friendly and helpful but facilities less than adequate. Will avoid Red Roof in future.

Worst hotel ever. The floors are sticky. Our socks were so dirty after staying there. The bathrooms were dirty. The bed had *****. There were bugs on the floor. Worst hotel experience. Do not recommend.

I love coming here when me and my boyfriend just need a getaway from the kids!! It's always so accommodating and I love there jacuzzi rooms i will be coming back in the near future!! The front desk ladies are so nice to everyone who walks in! Truly a very welcoming hotel!

I had to change rooms due to bad smell in room 106 Towels and wash clothes missing from bathroom I ask for an extra pillow was informed there were no extra pillows I had to clean tub due to ring in tub

motel is clean but extremely old and out dated morning breakfast not….only bad coffee the staff was friendly…trying to find something nice to say came for Auburn football game so the room rate was $300 per night a major ripoff for a dump

Stayed here with my girlfriend while we were in town visiting her family. Stay was good, beds were comfortable, room was cheap. Really the only problem was that the bath towels in the bathroom were kind of ratty and falling apart, but we just told housekeeping and they gave us some new ones and apologised so it wasn't a huge deal. Would stay here again.

This is a very poorly maintained hotel . One of the first lessons I learned in business school was that 95% of all businesses fail because of bad management. The management certainly doesn’t care about the property or it’s customers and that’s a sad commentary. It wouldn’t cost to much to hire a person to clean this place up. I will not stay here again. I give this place a 2 instead of a 1 because I reserve a one for the most terrible hotels. The only good that I can attribute to this hotel is that it’s cheap, the bed is comfortable and DOGS STAY FREE. Now for the bad, and there is plenty: the Hotel is dirty! There is trash strewn through the parking lot and cigarette butts are everywhere. The laundry room is trashed, the carpets in the hall are dirty. Broken down cars being worked on in the parking lot and what seems to be illegal activity going on in the parking lot outside our window. The room itself was remodeled recently but the work was poorly done. The floor tiles were put down wrong with huge gaps and not fitted correctly. There is a Huge water stain on the ceiling and MOLD IN THE BATHROOM ! No hand towels in the bathroom and the others towels are old and worn. There is no breakfast . Lots of noise in the hallway at night

Don’t let the online pictures deceive you!! Checked in and was immediately informed of the receptionist’s urinary tract infection and how she refused to go to the doctor. Key to the room didn’t work. Paint cracked and peeling off the walls in the lobby and hallways. Instead of an elevator or any sensible way to get upstairs, the stairs were indoor with exposed, rotting wood on the steps. Our room was filthy. The floor looked like it hadn’t been swept or mopped in ages. Linens had stains and cigarette burns. Shower had mold and the lining of shower had giant holes and peeling off. Was given one wash cloth and 2 small towels for 2 people. The mattress was rock hard and made for Fred Flintstone. Air conditioner was beneath the window and wouldn’t adequately cool the room. In summary, if you want unsolicited advice about a stranger’s bladder and worry about bed bugs before sleep, book here for a dirty, uncomfortable stay.
