We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour, as others have identified is popuoar with your groups because of its value for money, breakfast at 8am is certainly a challenge. We were on floor 2 which didn't have a great view, and the air conditioning want functioning (and it was low 20s C so shouldn't have been a challenge). Other guests reported similar, c and we had to resort to opening doors/windows which brought a lot of noise into the rooms overnight. More worrying the fire plan on the back of the door in the room was of an entirely different hotel (the posher one across the road)

My worst ever hotel experience. We where on a roadtrip holiday, and had booked this hotel because it had on site parking, i checked google maps to confirm, and even called the hotel in advance, to see if we had to make a reservation on parking, as we would arrive late in the evening, and we read that Opatija could be a bit bad with parking. They said ”no problem, just come”. We arrived at 21 in the evening, after a 700km drive from Munich, and when we arrived they had no available parking. There was a couple of spaces inside a gate beside the hotel, and we asked if we could park there, but no, that was for the employees, and i said that it would only be temprarly until the morning, so that we can sort out the parking issue, but no. They where not interested at all to help us, and only said that we had to find a space in the street. We ended up driving around the place for 1 1/2 hours, without finding a spot to park, went back in, and said that they need to come up with a solution, but no help, so it ended up with us turning around and driving back into italy, and found a hotel along the highway to get som sleep at 02 in the morning, after a total of 1000km driving that day. So my advice is : Just stay away from here.

It was our third time in Hotel Savoy and as always, we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The staff is nice and helpful, breakfast is delicious and has a big variety of food (different kinds of ham, cheese, bread, bread rolls, fruit, jam, sausages, eggs, etc.). The beach is clean and isn't crowded. You need to pay for the sunbeds but it's worth it as they're clean and a normal distance from one other so you can have a rest, read a book or take a nap. The water is crystal clear and deep as soon as you get into it. We booked a standard room with partial sea view and a superior room with a sea view. The former one is of course smaller but you don't feel to be in a tin, the view is still beautiful to the sea. The latter one is spacious, light and has an amazing sea view. Both of them are spotless and in a very good condition. There're some loud bars in front of the hotel but thanks to the insulation, you can hear almost nothing at night. I'm a terrible sleeper and could still manage it on the first floor. Thank you Hotel Savoy for making our holiday so nice and peaceful. We'll definitely be back!

Sehr freundliche, zuvorkommende und kompetente Mitarbeiter in allen Bereichen. Der Empfang bei der Ankunft, an der Rezeption, in den Restaurants, der Bar, den Zimmermädchen alles top. Zimmer bzw. Suite toll ausgestattet und sehr sauber, Parkgarage mit Parkservice gegen (geringe) Gebühr, Speisen- und Getränkeauswahl (inklusive kompetenter und charmanter Weinberatung) erstklassig in Geschmack und Vielfalt. Direkter Zugang zum Lungomare. Wunderschöner Spa-/Wellnessbereich Was soll ich noch schreiben - einfach wunderbar dort Gast sein zu dürfen.

This hotel is modern and elegant. Our first impression was great! We were served a wonderful lunch at the rooftop terrace when we arrived. The rooms were spacious, well-equipped, and spotless. The beds were large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The spa was amazing with a really large swimming pool, a nice resting area, and well-heated saunas. A great place to relax. This could have been a really great two-night stay. But the hotel was hosting a wedding while we stayed there, and that had many negative consequences for us. First, the rooftop was closed after we had our lunch there and remained unavailable for the rest of our stay. We we told we could enjoy the spa instead, but that is not really the same as sitting in the sun with a nice drink. Second, on the day of the wedding, the spa was used as some sort of gathering place for families with children. All rest beds were occupied for hours, and it was very noisy (and do you really allow babies in the swimming pool?) It did not feel like a spa at all, and it was no place to relax after a swim. Third, the bar next to the reception was used for the wedding reception, so we could not be there either. It was Saturday afternoon/evening, and there were no place for us to be in the hotel if we wanted to chat over a drink. Fourth, the hotel rooms are not exactly sound proof. If you stay in a room with connecting doors, you will hear the guests in the connected room really well through the door. And if they have loud music at the rooftop. you can sing along in your room. The wedding party went on until 4-5 in the morning. First on the roof top, which was terribly noisy, before it was moved to the basement. That was a bit better, but we could still hear the bass. My travel companions called the reception many times throughout the night to ask them to lower the music, but it did not help. Some of them were kept awake by the music till 4.30. Good sleep is the core of the service a hotel should deliver, and is something we expected from a 5-star hotel. I think we should be told in advance if hotel facilities will be made unavailable. We might have decided to stay somewhere else. And as long as the rooms are not soundproof, loud parties until early morning should not be allowed. The welfare of wedding guests was clearly given higher priority than ours. We don't feel we got what we paid for.

Ein tolles Hotel mit sauberen Zimmern tollem Ambiente gutes reichhaltiges Frühstück tolle Lage mitten in Opatija das einzige was echt blöd ist ist die Parkplatz Situation sehr schmal und wenig Platz aber das Hotel selbst kann da nix dafür da Opatija ja eine Stadt am Meer ist und dementsprechend wenig Parkplätze sind.
