While the view is great and access to the beach can’t be beat, we thought we were staying in the accommodations shown in all of their media. They have two kinds of buildings, the ones advertised and other not nice motel rooms we were put in. We got an end room which was the smallest of the small. The balcony tilted down, bugs were in the light fixtures, outlets were loose in the walls. Paint was peeling in the bathroom too. It smelled musty and the window AC until had the “change filter” light indicated. Old is fine, but bugs and filters, details that don’t cost much money were missing. I typically don’t say bad things about places, but days later my spouse was like you need to warn people, write a review. And I’m doing it here on TripAdvisor hoping they don’t come at me like they do with all the bad reviews I saw (after the fact) on Google. Old Orchard Beach was a fun place. Good for families with young kids. Has a beachy boardwalk vibe.

Excellent friendly staff, easy check in great location clean rooms great view and close to pier and restaurants. Family friendly. I have stayed there before and favorite location family friendly. Restaurant on property and early morning coffee room

Worst accommodations we've ever experienced outside of a youth hostel. Dilapidated, Micro tiny, and just awful. It was clean and close to beach with kitchentee. We tried to cancel immediately upon seeing the room but they front charged our card for full stay. They moved us to an even worse suite but at least we could bring in our bags and fit inside together. Horrible shower, bathroom and uncomfortable beds. Stained carpet squares on cement slab was gross. Inadequate heat/air situation. Never again. We were in town for an event so trying to hang clothes and get ready was impossible without going to our relative"s apartment nearby. On line pics are bait and switch. Those rooms are $$$. This is a honeycomb of veru old motels patched together with one newer building on the beach they highlight.

We stopped here between Richmond and western New Hampshire. I wanted some beach time and this was perfect. It’s usually not in our budget to stay at a beachfront place so this was a treat. Rooms reflect us affording beachfront in terms of space and signs of age, but it was great. Kids loved the beach even though it’s off season. Indoor pool was nice too. I’d return here.

Staff was great. They were friendly and very accommodating. The grounds were neatly Maintained. Location was the best part. The beach is right there. Our room was just as described and very neat and clean. We will definitely be staying here again. September is a great month to go.

We have stayed at the alouette for a few years and won’t go anywhere else..they give us the same room every year, (economic) at our request,as we don’t need fancy..and we love it. We live 2 hrs away in western maine but going there gives us the rest and relaxation from everyday life..they are very busy but we don’t hear ppl drive in or out The rooms are super clean and up to date. Our room is only steps away from old orchard beach. Alouette staff are nice and friendly. In the morning you can go to their cafe for a full breakfast at a reasonable price..if you are looking for affordable rooms that are clean then book your stay, you won’t regret it Sue and Arno

The accommodations were fantastic for the rates! The proximity to the beach paired with a heated pool, onsite café, and just a short walk from shops and restaurants made for a fantastic stay! Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Old Orchard Beach.

Good value. Right on the beach. Easy check in. Plenty of amenities. Clean. Easy access to restaurants bars and other activities. Good views. Excellent spot for beach combing and other morning strolls. Safe area. East parking. Really good stay.

Great room and wonderful view on the ocean. Breakfast option were lovely and service exceptional. We go there twice a year and we love it soo much. Definitely a place to go. Personal are so kind and the amenities are comfortable. If you like a nice walk on the beach, this is the place to go!
