Juniper Hill Inn

Got charged $400 a night for a 129$ room!!! Rip off! Room isn't at all opulent. Very disappointing. This was supposed to be a romantic evening, and we are in a room that looks like a Best Western. Please beware of this place. My weekend is ruined

A lovely time and location. For me, walking distance from this Inn into the Village was about 6 minutes. I found the Inn peaceful with no traffic noise. Facilities are excellent, with on site laundry, 2 outdoor swimming pools and an indoor pool. A nice porch where I ate my takeout meals, and room had a good 'fridge for water etc. Inn Front Desk staff friendly, courteous and helpful. All around outstanding and intend to return.

We have stayed at this hotel few times and really liked it. Also recommended to a few friends. This visit very disappointed. The room was clean but they do not tell you you don't get housekeeping everyday- every other day- not the bedding but making the bed etc. . Small paper left on table informing you. Who read that ?? . So if you are on vacation you make your own bed and clean up. Paying a good price for the room. Then when housekeeping came in - a lousy clean up. Dirty towels left by sink- not wiped - bathtub not cleaned up. Not enough washcloths- no vacuuming. So very small tip[ left. Should have been told when checking in housekeeping every other day but you are still paying full price . I don't want to make my own bed on vacation esp paying a good price for the room. I like to come back to a nice room. Won't stay there again.

Absolutely adorable! Came through around 9pm . First time ever in the New England area. We ended up staying a 2nd night. So clean and comfy. Just as good if not better than a Hilton! I don’t think we’ve ever stayed at a hotel this clean! If back in the area we will return.

We looked at many places to stay and we are so glad we chose Juniper Hill. It is located at the top of the hill near town. For those who enjoy walking places, we felt it was perfectly located. We did not need to drive and deal with the traffic on Route 1. The traffic moves along but who needs the hassle. Not to mention paying for or trying to find parking. We walked everywhere for the weekend we stayed there. The staff were professional, and the lobby has coffee and various menus of local restaurants. Our room was clean, and it had black out shades and a large tv.

My husband and I have been going to Juniper Hill for many years. This past visit was not so great. When we checked the cost of the room on line, it was $169. A night. When we checked in, I put my AAA card on the counter and the man (I believe it was Jordan) told me I didn’t need the AAA card because they had better price. When we checked out, I got my bill, did not look at it until we got home and was shocked at what they charged. Room charge, $194.65, Facilities fee $20., State tax, $1.80, State tax $17.52. For a total of $233.97 a night. The total came to over $700. I called and spoke with Jordan about my disappointment and he was very rude and unreasonable. Like several others on this site who have expressed frustration, we will never go back to Juniper Hill.

Major disappointment on this visit. It’s very evident the property was sold. Wall paper pealing in the rooms, carpet dirty, etc. generally just a totally different feel to the place. Also, the path to the beach is now blocked off so you have to walk down through town. Pool & hot tub have tiles missing. Unfortunately, we will no longer be coming back here. Good luck to the new owners. I suggest you contact the previous management to find out what their magic secret was.

Good location, horrible management! It is shocking that this manager is running a hospitality business, and he treats his guests with such rudeness. This place has gone so downhill since the new managers took over. We booked our rooms on the phone, and we were told it would be at the special internet rate we saw online. When we got the bill, we were way overcharged for our rooms and they didn't seem to care. The rooms are priced well above their value too! We wanted beach chairs the day we were checking out. They told us we weren't guests anymore!!! and would only give us 3 chairs for 5 people. Then when I challenged them on overcharging us, he told me to give back all the beach chairs. The management better wake up on how to treat their customers, or they will never survive!

Stayed her for one Saturday night in July. We have been going to this hotel and their sister hotel Gorges Grant for years. Last year both hotels were sold to Giri Hotel Management. We used to pay $277 for the same room which is now $461. We checked in and felt very hurried and the gentlemen behind the counter seemed stressed. He ask for my cars plate number and I responded that and can go out and get it. He got visibly upset that I didn't have it on me. We had planned to use the pool the next morning and go to our room to change before we checked out at 11:00. Stopped up to the room at 10:00 to use the bathroom and the cleaning staff had entered the room and started turning it over for the next guest. We hadn't checked out yet. I mentioned it to the front desk and they could care less. I asked if we could hang around the pool for an hour after checkout time to make up for the poor experience. Her response was that she would have to charge me a $30 fee for that. Giri Hotels seems focused on maximizing revenue and couldn't care less about the guest experience. We will not be coming back to this hotel.
