Super 8 by Wyndham Ogallala

The BEST Super 8 we’ve ever stayed in! Actually, it beats some of the (self-proclaimed) higher-end hotels. Front desk staff was professional, friendly, and accommodating. Very very clean! Our king bed was confy; the A/C Heat unit worked perfectly. Shower was hot. The breakfast is exactly as they advertise…Continental. Surely everyone can find something. 😉 Nice job, Super 8!

Walls not insulated very well, could hear people in the halls and on the stairs next to my room. Bed frame made noise everytime I moved. Not very clean hallways, 2 of my towels were obviously soiled/not cleaned, made me wonder about the others.

Super run down and dinghy. Upon entering room the toilet had urine in it that hadn’t been flushed in days (HORRIBLE SMELL). Bathroom sink had dried toothpaste spit in it. The rest of the room was clean but very average budget hotel standard. Breakfast is one of the most pathetic and gross I’ve seen at a hotel. Zero selection. They have a waffle maker but it had burnt remnants stuck to it, making it unusable. At least 2 staff walked right by it several times and did nothing. Even on its best day there is absolutely no way that this hotel would be rated 4/5 or 8/10 on ANY site. Bad, bad, bad.

The place smells, the room was disgusting. Barely anything for breakfast. No hot food. Very loud. No elevator. Terrible guest service.

I was in the area and just booked for one night and I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. I will definitely return

Several issues with this property. Room was advertised to have in-room coffee maker and there was not one present. No TV guide, channels wouldn't come in so manager had to come into my room to reprogram; that brought some channels, but none of the local basic ones to check on weather, news, etc. Biggest issue - despite having a "do not disturb" sign on my door, housekeeping attempted to enter my room 1 1/2 hours before check-out time. Had I not had the extra top lock on he would have opened the door further than the couple inches he was able to (stopped when I stated check-out wasn't until 11 am).

Free breakfast was not tended to, out of items and waffle maker not working. Too small of an area for all the guests. Floors very squeaky and noisy. Very loud in floor above just walking. For the price it wasn’t horrible. Assuming it was a family run hotel.

The owner is a crook. They quoted us one price then when we went to check it it was much more. The room was filthy. Do not stay here. Better places to stay in Ogallala. When I confronted the desk clerk he totally denied quoting me the lessor price. Also asked why the room was not cleaned since we had to wait 3 hours to check in. He said it was cleaned to their standards. Yuck!

This motel was clean and updated. The rate was very affordable. The room had wood (vinyl) flooring instead of carpet. (Which seems cleaner to us.) Everything was as advertised. The bed and pillows were comfortable. If I travel through again, I would stay here.
