Hotel Louro

The hotel and the guest room was very dated and in need of renovation. It is nowhere near as nice as the photographs. There is a very small outdoor pool and small garden. We wish we had chosen a different hotel to stay in near Obidos. It was not at all relaxing. During our stay there was a group of young teenagers staying that were shouting, incessantly banging doors and running around the corridors. They were playing loud music in the garden near our window too. After complaining to the staff and management twice it was made clear that they were not prepared to confront the group or whoever was in charge of them to calm things down. Management just do not care. It appears they just want to take your money without consideration. Breakfast was very basic and the limited “hot” options were barely warm. The only plus was that the hotel is close to the walled city and a kettle was provided on request.

Staying at Hotel Louro was a good experience - it seems you are at home, which has a familiar environment. The room has a good size, including the shower. Recommend to stay overnight to have a fully experience of the city. Breakfast is really good.

Very pleasant stay. The hotel is located just a few minutes walking to the entrance of Obidos. There is a garden at the back with a beautiful view of the valley. The rooms are very clean and confortable. The breakfast is generous.

I spent just one night at this small hotel, and would never come here again. Although the bedroom and linens were fine, the bathroom was full of black mold in tile grout, and I mean plenty of it. The shower would not drain and we had to ask for a plunger . We left our room and asked front desk receptionist to address situation while we were out and absolutely nothing was done, we returned to a nasty bedroom. Breakfast was adequate but not note worthy. Choose another place.

We booked five rooms for a group of 12 for one night. It is very conveniently located to the old walled city just a short walk. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. I was in the quad room which was a little tight for four adults with just a couple of working outlets. Would be great for a family. Roosters woke us at about 3am. Breakfast was good, tasty cakes and other continental fare with eggs and bacon too.

My wife and I had plans to check in on the 13th of July, but plans changed and we called the hotel and asked if we could check in on the 12th and make it a 2 night stay. They were very nice and accomodating and told us we could have the same room for the two nights. Check in was fine, the room was a nice size, had a heart made of towels on the bed highlighted with red cady - very nice touch! Than the killing started. First I killed two beatles crawling on the floor, I didn't think much about it, just thought somebody left the doors to the patios open and they crawled in, that was followed by one or two more I was still not concerned. Went to dinner, came back late went to bed and my wife wakes up at 4:30 in the morning with two more crawling on her pillow - that was the last straw. Needless to say not much sleep was gotten, she sat on a chair with her feet under her, while I called around for another hotel room. In total we killed around a dozen of these creep crawlies. We showered, got dressed made sure none of the critters were in our bags and cloths and checked out of this place. Handed the key to the girl at the front desk, who was very nice and opologetic and told us that they've been having issues due to the heat. She made copies of my credit card and assured us that we'd be getting a phone call before the end of that day. That was on July 13th, today is July 18th and I haven't heard a peep from anyone at that hotel. So much for customer service. Not an apology, not a question as to what happend, nothing at all. That is one place I'll never stay in or recommend to anyone.

Situado num bom sitio para visitar o castelo com estacionamento privado e numa zona calma. Esperava algo mais moderno, porém está bem estimado. Jardim bem cuidado. Pequeno almoço sempre a ser reposto, sem faltar nada. Staff atencioso e simpático

non lontano dal centro del paese che si può raggiungere comodamente a piedi. Direi un hotel basico, non abbiamo provato la piscina, la colazione molto buona. non hanno ascensore quindi se avete problemi di mobilità chiedete camere a piano terra

Bem localizado, com estacionamento gratuito, com 1 jardim + baloiço muito bonito ao lado da sala do pequeno almoço. O hotel dispõe de piscina, um pouco pequeno o espaço à volta, mas não usufruímos, a visita foi em Março Quartos limpos, espaçosos e silenciosos Funcionários atenciosos e prestáveis. Excelente relação, qualidade/preço.
