Pflugwirts Gasthaus mit Hotel in Oberkirch (Baden)

I wonder how is it possible that this house/hotel has so many positive reviews. It can’t be.There must be something wrong with the algorithm. We stayed for just 1 night on our way home from holiday. The location wasn’t what we expected. At the reception we were “welcomed” by a very, very unfriendly woman, Fatima. We wanted to leave right away but we were tired and we decided to stay and give it the benefit of the doubt. The room and bathroom are new and clean except for the bedroom floor. Don’t walk on bare feet. The bathroom door doesn’t fully open due to the lack in space. There’s only space for one person. A sliding door would have been a better option. Three courses meal was good but nothing fancy. Very expensive. I’ve eaten far better for less money. Fatima was serving us and she tried her best to be friendly but the damage was already done. Breakfast was good, at least that. The checkout was done by the waitress who was also serving breakfast; an old lady who did not ask any questions at all, if we enjoyed our stay or else. I’m not someone who complains easily about money, especially if I’m on vacation, but € 239,- for one night and a simple dinner for two, in such establishments and with such welcome, well, let say that we will never, ever come back again, even if it would be for free.

Prima hotel moderne ruime kamer. Balkon. Badkamer met hoekdouche toilet wastafel. In ons geval vloerbedekking. Zou volgende keer laminaat/parket vragen vanwege allergie. Maar keurig en schoon. Ontbijtbuffet ruim voldoende ook kaas worst cereals yoghurt vers fruit. Konden helaas geen gebakken ei bestellen alleen roerei. Restaurant voor diner erg aangenaam en heerlijk gegeten. Wel tafel reserveren want is druk (in ons geval in weekend). Kortim: perfect verblijf!
