Hhe Express

The name ‘HHE Express’ is actually not giving the right impression of this new, nice, clean hotel in the middle of Nuuk. Nice rooms with a clean and big bathroom. Roomservice every day. Breakfast buffet is simple, but with fresh and variated food. Friendly staff.

Great and modern hotel in downtown Nuuk. Nice but small rooms. A bit of noise from traffic if you stay in a room facing the street but very peacefull apart from that. Extremely helpfull staff. Breakfast not that interesting. Would definately stay here again.

Clean and spacious room. I got a room with cemetery view . Confronted the front desk , Peter Frederik and explained to him as we Chinese are very superstitious. He was so accommodating and helpful and changed a new room for us. Very thankful to Peter, we got a good sleep for the 2 nights .

I stayed 2 nights during my solo arranged tour of Greenland in July 2022. This is a new budget hotel (class of ibis/Etap) however priced hi due to generally hi prices in Greenland. The rooms are very small however very comfortable and clean. I also liked the restaurant/bar in the lobby which has wonderful canapees good wine and beer./drinks. The hotel is well located close to all key attractions of the small town of Nuuk. for dinners I went to HHE Hotel which is sister upscale property just 5min walk from HHE Express. They have two excellent restaurants at 5th floor with food and menu which would also be rated hi in Paris/London/NY. Come there for treat after Nuuk fjord tour. The hotel offers taxi transfers to the airport which does not take any international flights at present (till it is upgraded in 2024/25) and it is necessary to travel via the only international hub in SFJ airport (save for occasional flight to/from Keflafik).

Very disappointed with my recent one-night stay. I gave it 2 stars (rather than 1 star) because the room was clean. That was the only positive attribute. The service at this hotel was atrocious. - Housekeeping walked in my room, without knocking, while the do not disturb sign was on. I was not fully dressed (in my underwear). Rather than apologize and quickly close the door, the staff member stood in the open doorway (exposing me to anyone who could be walking down the hall) and proceeded to try have a conversation with me, asking me when I was leaving. I was dumbfounded, I finally had to firmly say, “Get Out” for her to shut the door and leave. - My friends also had their Do Not Disturb sign on their room, and the same thing happened to them. - It was 10:02am, 2 minutes after check-out. So, we were late checking out (more on that later), but it does not excuse the behavior. - I reported this to a Manager, (middle aged, tall woman with dark hair, slender) she apologized but did not seem sincere and did not offer anything for service recovery (a coffee, a discount for F&B, etc.) - I mention the service recovery because I had a reservation that included breakfast, I went to the lobby for bfast at 9am on the dot. I was told breakfast ended at 9am. I was surprised, they had not mentioned that at check-in and I assume it would be 9:30, like the other hotels I had visited in Greenland. That said, I understood and asked if I could just get a cup of coffee. I was told no, service had ended and it was all cleaned up. At this point I protested a bit, and while the above Manager looked on, the front desk associate pulled out the check-in card and said, “it says the time right here). - The associate who checked me in, never gave us a check out time, never gave us a breakfast time. Never even told us to read the key jacket for important info. Yet, when problems ensued their answer wasn’t to try to assist or help, or offer a solution, it was to point to the card and tell me “it’s on the card”. I stay over 100 nights a year at various hotels all over the world. This was the worse service I have had in over 10 years. I would not recommend this hotel. The amenities are basic and if you have any sort of issue, it does not appear there is a culture of appreciating, valuing, and problem solving for the guest. On another note, we went to their sister hotel for lunch, the waiter was outstanding. But, I asked the front desk staff for info and directions and they too we’re unhelpful, short, and told me to “google it”. This hotel chain has a serious service issue.

Excelente atención, desde la recepcionista hasta los miembros de la confiteria. Es nuevo, está impecable, muy limpio, y muy confortable. Excelente ubicación a mano de todo. La habitacion es muy comoda y el baño funciona perfecto.
