Staff although not unpleasant lack any enthusiasm. Had to complain on arrival of broken toilet, on our return from being at a wedding all day, still hadn't been fixed. Boasts boutique hotel, however the facilities were very basic, no fridge, coffee machine etc which you would expect in such a place, especially when paying over £130 for the night! Large room and comfy bed, let down by lack of service and those finishing touches which make all the difference. Sadly wouldn't return or recommend.

Check in was OK but have to say the person who greeted us wasn't exactly enthused. Arrived at our room and could hear constant running water. The toilet flush was stuck, and we couldn't fix it, so advised the person on reception. We were at a wedding all day and evening, so said there wasn't a rush but can it be fixed for our return, which they agreed. On our return, you guessed it, it hadn't been looked at. This should have been sorted prior to our arrival, as it was obviously stuck when they serviced the room! The room was good, large and very comfy bed. They are described as boutique, not sure why as the facilities were very standard. kettle etc. No fridge or coffee machine which I would expect in such a hotel. Just felt lacking in care and attention, for £130+ for the night, they really need to up their game! Sadly would not return or recommend.

I hate writing poor reviews, but... Check in was awfully formulaic, rushed and not terribly friendly. Room had areally unpleasant smell, but this was rectified quickly and I was moved. The new room was delightful, thank you. I was given a tight window for dinner and the whole experience, apart from Charley the duty manager, was dreadful. Wrong food was ordered by a disinterested young man at the bar after a young lady, who was equally disinterested when I asked her where to sit and what the ordering process was. I then found out that what I'd ordered was unavailable, and something else arrived as a replacement, notbthat idcasked for it...I then received my Chicken Caesars salad with a hot and spicy chicken breast... just bizarre!!?? In the grand scheme of things, hardly life threatening, just terribly disappointing. It's a super place, just please employ people who want to be there and train them sufficiently.

We stayed two nights and we really enjoyed the stay. We wanted to visit Nottingham but not stay at a hotel in the city centre. Instead, we booked at this hotel and it was very peaceful, big family room, and fresh breakfast. Highly recommended!

Asked to be moved as the first bedroom we were allocated overlooked a high wall and courtyard full of discarded rubbish, very hot with a window that barely opened. Second bedroom much better with a balcony and good size room .Very comfortable ,staff very helpful and food excellent

Expected better was a bit disappointed considering the price. located in beautiful surroundings at first sight looks nice until you actually check in and walk to your room. all the carpets had stains on them through the corridors and the rooms were the same, it wasn’t isolated we had a few rooms all had stains on carpets. A couple of the showers had mould at the bottom of the shower screens. Booked for rooms with breakfast which wasn’t nice either help yourself style cooked and continental offering a variety of food however the only food that was nice was the fruit and packaged cereal overall very disappointing was looking forward to a little break but unfortunately it wasn’t that great.
