A Great hotel - with very friendly staff , both receptionist and restaurant staff food delicious- especially breakfast all served very hot and well presented. Room a little small but still enough- with excellent views . Close to North Berwick/ or station .

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Nether Abbey Hotel when in town for a golf holiday. We had a room that was spacious and comfortable, with a wonderful view of the Firth of Fourth. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom very large with great water pressure, plenty of closet space for our things, and even lots of room to keep our golf clubs and golf travel bags in the room. The heated towel rack was wonderful! The room was extremely clean, but the decor and headboard seemed a bit distressed. There were 2 steam radiators for heating the room, which kept it pretty comfortable. The breakfasts were very good and fueled us well for a day on the links. The service was great. We ate at the adjoining restaurant for dinner twice, and enjoyed everything we had very much- the Sunday roast beef special with Yorkshire pudding, the fish and chips, Fisherman’s pie, the smash burger, and a wonderful sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. Everyone we interacted with at both the hotel and restaurant were friendly, helpful and professional.

A great couple of days at this hotel. The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. The rooms were very well appointed, comfortable and (very, very importantly for us) warm, despite the absence of double glazing. The beds were excellent. Breakfasts were comprehensive and of good quality (although it was a pity there was no fish option). Similarly, the evening menu gave a reasonable choice of dishes and everything was of high quality, well presented and prepared. The hotel is only five minutes from a stunning beach and wonderful views. Wasn't quite sure why a table full of large jars of sweets greeted us in reception. Were we being tempted to sample them ? ( If so, we weren't quite sure of the hygiene issues that might arise from guests putting their hands in the jars!) Personally, we would have welcomed a residents' lounge, rather than sitting in the open area in reception or in the bar, but this probably reflects our age. Altogether a great place to stay. We'd love to go back.

We stopped off here for one night on our way up to the Highlands and then on to Skye. The hotel is very welcoming. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They are also dog friendly, which is great. The hotel is in a very good location: just a short walk into town and also to the beach and harbour which are very picturesque. The room was large, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and clearly made with good quality ingredients. There was even a sausage for our dog for breakfast! We were a little surprised to pre-order our breakfast the night before but it was lovely to come downstairs in the morning to see our table ready for us so we were very happy.

Great staff. Nice location, very walkable to the High st. and harbor. I became ill during our stay and everyone was beyond helpful. Nice bar and restaurant too, with outdoor area. We were here for local golf and there are a lot of places to play. I would definitely stay here again. N. Berwick is a cute small seaside town.

Fantastic night with friends in the restaurant bar area of the hotel. It was very busy and had a great vibe to it. We only intended to stay for a couple of drinks however the service we experienced from the waitress - Mel - was exemplary and made us want to stay longer. Only one of our group wanted to eat and nearly all the tables were booked. Mel found us a table which we vacated when the other party were due to arrive which was no problem as our food was well finished by then. Mel found us a sitting area and we ordered some more Prosecco. She engaged with customers and nothing was too much trouble. Exactly how hospitality should be. Stirling - Mel is a credit to your team - give that girl a pay rise!!!

From the moment we arrived until the minute we left everything was amazing. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nice and comfortable with well-appointed amenities. The room we stayed in had a smaller bathroom with little space for toiletries but that is the only negative thing I can say about this. The bar and restaurant were great. Food was among the best we had while on our trip. They have a great patio to enjoy coffee or cocktails. We felt important while we were there and appreciate all the staff did to make it a wonderful stay!

Very comfortable extremely nice, clean hotel. Excellent staff. Breakfast was very good. Both continental and cooked. We were welcomed warmly by staff on arrival and in the morning treated very well as we left on our walk. We enjoyed seeing North Berwick and if we return would certainly stay here if possible.

This hotel feels so rich in history. Well kept for an older hotel and nicely appointed. The pub and food are also just fantastic. Rooms were a nice size and had nice amenities. No lift so plan to climb some stairs when staying here. The location is perfect, walk to train as well as close to some of the best golf courses. The morning ladies who handled the desk and the breakfast were the picture of hospitality. I really need to send a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Stuart. One of the most hospitable, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and fun ‘he who runs it all’ at night wonderful person that we had the pleasure to meet during our stay. I seriously cannot say enough good things about him. He was a cornerstone of making our stay so much more enjoyable than we ever expected. We will definitely stay again if in the area.
