"Lovely little Hostal in a quiet traditional village, San Jose is very close by and just a few minutes in the car and there are some beautiful surrounding areas. Hostal was clean but basic as you would expect, beds comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant attached to Hostal and the food was really good. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast as the options are limited."

"Wir haben hier 2 Nächte während unseres Urlaubs durch Andalusien verbracht. Das Hotel liegt an einer Landstraße in der Nähe des Ortes Rodalquilar. Das Hotel ist „fast“ nur mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Hotel bietet kostenlose Parkplätze sogar mit Tiefgarage. Man kann das Hotel auch als Halbpension oder mit Frühstück buchen. Der Check In erfolgte schnell. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Es roch etwas muffig im Badezimmer. Für den Preis von 60€ pro Nacht im Doppelzimmer ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut. Das Hotel ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge (Wander- und Badeausflüge) rund um das Naturschutzgebiet Cabo de Gata. Wir haben die Lage des Hotels sehr geschätzt. Das Hotel verfügt über ein Restaurant, was wir aber nicht getestet haben, da man für abends reservieren musste, weil wir keine Halbpension gebucht haben. In dem umliegenden Ort Rodalquilar und Las Negras gibt es auch nette Lokale."

"A weekend visit to explore around the area of Cabo de Gata. Thoroughly enjoyed discovering this stunning area. The hotel was an extremely friendly and comfortable base and Agua Amarga itself is also nice with some lovely places of the national park within easy reach. Thank you to the hotel for a lovely couple of days away."

"Good location and great views. Room ok , clean and with a small fridge but did the job however the air con unit did leak quite abit (might just be a one off). Swimming pool lovely. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that. We would stay here again."

"El Cortijo de los Malenos has been, for me, a place to truly disconnect. I would especially recommend it out of season, when you can enjoy even more the silence and calm that this place offers. At this time of year there is no daily housekeeping service or breakfast, and far from being a drawback, for us it was part of its charm: a space designed to rest, connect with nature and enjoy complete privacy. There is also the option of staying in an apartment. The bed and pillows feel like an embrace, and the quality of the towels is simply outstanding. It is located just five minutes from Agua Amarga, with all necessary services, and very close to stunning beaches such as Playa de los Muertos or Cala de Enmedio, as well as restaurants like La Chumbera, where the red prawn tartare and the steak tartare with bone marrow are, quite literally, unforgettable. The location is ideal, allowing you to move around easily without giving up the tranquility of the surroundings. The cortijo is a wonderful combination of peace, nature and art. During our stay there was a sculpture exhibition, which was the icing on the cake. Listening to the silence, surrounded by such a beautiful setting, has been one of those small luxuries that are hard to find. I would especially like to highlight Aurora and her team, whose service has been exceptional. They are not constantly visible, but they are always there whenever you need them, with immediate, warm attention and a truly exquisite sense of customer care. A place I will definitely return to to rest, breathe and reconnect."

"What a gem! The hotel is right by the beautiful beach of San Jose, and is easy reach of a host of restaurants, bars and cafes. The hotel is well appointed, the room was spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast which was very good. The terrace around the pool is excellent, and the pool was perfect. The Sky bar provides stunning views over San Jose. The whole team of the hotel were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. When they found out it was husband’s birthday they even surprised him with a birthday cake 🎂. We will be going again."

"Wenn Sie sich von ihm alle in einem Ort mit unglaublichen Landschaft und Stränden abzuwenden suchen, dann Los Escullos ist perfekt. Es ist ziemlich entfernt, so machen Sie Ihren großen Shop, bevor Sie ankommen, da der Supermarkt gut ist, aber basic.The nearest good shop is the Spar in San Jose. Die Website ist geräumig, die Rezeption und das Personal sind alle freundlich. Toiletten und Duschen ohne Platz. Waschmaschine funktionieren gut und Waschtrockner in einer halben Stunde in der trockenen Wärme! Wir sind seit Monaten reisen und das war unsere Lieblings-Seite. Restaurant Lebensmittel ist gut. Schöne kleine Dorf La Isletta auf der Straße mit Meerblickbaren. 20 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand oder 3 Minuten Fahrt. Wird definitiv zurück."
