Always spotlessly clean. Reception always very nice. Rooms have all you need. Comfortable and Clean. USB sockets, reading lights and lamps, Samsung 32" Smart TV compatible with with mobile phones, tablets and pc/lap. Desk with desk lamp and luggage storage along with open wardrobe and bedside drawers/unit. Large full size mirror. The Queen size bed is comfortable and has plenty of pillows/bedding. Bathroom is one of the best I have seen In hotels with modern and clean fittings. Subway tiling with chrome finish fittings, large bath with waterfall shower and over bath shower attachment for when just your hair needs washing. Huge fitted mirror with lighting and ample space for your toiletries etc. Towel rail and door hooks all complete the better than most bathroom. Towels and toiletries/hand wash/kettle and mugs, glasses, quality hangers and the attention to details all complete a good value room. The hotel flows on to the pub/ restaurant. Being Green King the food is all good. An extensive food and drinks menu. Easy and user friendly app allows ordering from your table for food and drinks. Overall the convenience of both hotel and bar with good service and good value a highly recommendable place to stay whether your here for business, leisure or just a night or two r&r The New Inn @ Green King always hits the mark. If you have breakfast with room it's served at the restaurant with hot & cold options Continental and Full English. Both perfectly presented and quality products. Parking for guests is free and input of car registration avoids any after stay fees.

What a great place to stay! Really clean bedrooms and bathroom. Powerful hot shower with the “softest” water. Warm welcome on reception from Joanne - who made sure we had everything we needed. lovely Kian in the restaurant and bar who worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had what they needed for breakfast. Great value- great location 9 minutes from ICC wales and Newport Retail Park, where we got lots of bargains. There is a hungry horse restaurant with good value and tasty food. Would not hesitate to recommend this as a great value, friendly place to stay. Will definitely come again

We stayed at the new end Green King accommodation on the 20th of May for two nights unfortunately, the property is quite tired, in room 28 the plug doesn’t work in the bath which was a little bit irritating after a day at an exhibition wanting to have a little bit of a relax, in room 33 there was no plug in the bathroom, there was water damage on the wall floor to ceiling, the curtains were suspended from a piece of wood screwed into the ceiling, it was generally clean however the were spiders and cobwebs that could’ve been cleaned away. Unfortunately when it came to the breakfast, it was really unorganised. There was no glasses around no mugs and the area where you would make them was dirty. Staff looked like they were understaffed and it just wasn’t a nice experience at all unfortunately. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel that the room rate reflected the quality or the experience that we had so we wouldn’t stay there again or recommend the hotel, unfortunately.

It is so satisfying to not only see cheerful and attentive staff but also comfortable rooms.The staff in the bar restaurant and hotel part were all very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble seemingly genuinely enjoying their selves while working!Easy to find and plenty of parking

We booked this hotel as a reasonably priced option when we went to the Billy Joel concert in Cardiff. First impression when we saw the outside was, " well, it's only for a couple of nights". Once we walked into the reception our impression improved greatly, Joanne was very welcoming & friendly. We asked for some extra towels, they were provided immediately with a smile. We had a few meals there, while it would not be described as haute cuisine it was tasty, as described in the menu, filling, & very reasonably priced. Andrea in the bar / restaurant was also very friendly and helpful, as were all the staff we encountered. Everyone there was very helpful & accommodating, we would not hesitate to book here again when we return to South Wales.

We had a lovely welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The restaurant was great for families with good choices on the menu. Even the gluten-free menu that I downloaded had a number of different options. The staff were very friendly and helpful even when busy. Our only suggestion would be a lighter duvet for warmer weather.

The location is good the food in the pub is quite good , the only thing that is letting the motel down is that there’s No noise policy whatsoever ( people slamming their doors talking very loudly on the hallway) happened on one of the nights and nobody came to check what is going in . I tried contacting number for late night problems but had no answer! Not great overall!!! And wasn’t for few minutes was for over an hour..!?

I'm just about to finish my 2nd stay here, 8 days in total. The experience has been very enjoyable, all due to Angie general manager. Her drive and energy infects her staff, and I have possibly seen her sit down once. One of her staff told me how inspired they are to work hard watching her lending help whenever required. It is Unfair to name indivisible their customer service is an example for other establishments I use. However I will say Ben certainly has it nailed, and I've felt valued when he is on duty. I do hope my emplbooks me in again.

Our room needs an update. We stayed at the New Inn on 4/22/24. The room amenities were very good. However, the room walls and carpet are disgusting. If the walls are painted and the carpet is replaced it would be a place that I would recommend for one to stay.
