This was quite a last minute trip for us, in order to try out the new car.The hotel is a a gorgeous old building, situated in attractive grounds. We had a small room, but it was fine, and had lovely views. The two night stay was excellent value, and include dinner bed and breakfast and a cream tea each day. The evening meals are superb, with plenty of choice. You certainly wont go hungry here. All the staff, are friendly, efficient and professional. This hotel is top notch, in so many ways.

What a fabulous place- we arrived early- had a drink on the terrace in the sunshine- yes in November!! Super friendly staff- fantastic room (went for luxury room 1) clean and beautifully decorated. Food was superb- will definitely return!

Just returned home after our 4th visit to this lovely hotel. We stayed in room 2 on this occasion; the view from the room is stunning. We love the peaceful surroundings; the fantastic staff and the amazing food. We will return to this gem soon.

A last minute break away to this stunning and wonderful hotel. The attention to detail is just second to none. The room (43) was outstanding - clean, warm and very relaxing. The bathroom was superb. We ate in the restaurant every evening and every night was outstanding. Food quality was outstanding and cooked to perfection. I loved how you came down for dinner 1/2 hour earlier and relaxed in the lounge before you were taken through to the dining room. Every member of staff made us feel comfortable, looked after and special. We will certainly come back and can’t wait too.

Just got back from another wonderful one night stay. The hotel just gets better and better, shear perfection. Thank you to Kevin and all his wonderful sraff will be rerurning soon cant wait. The grounds are looking beautiful. Loved all the little Halloween touhes

This beautiful hotel is everything a country house hotel should be. It is luxurious, cosy and comfortable. All areas of the hotel and grounds are immaculately kept, appearing effortless, but most certainly the result of hard work by the many excellent staff. This is a master class in how to run a hotel. We stayed for three nights in a deluxe room in the carriage house. It was very comfortable, pristine, newly renovated and beautifully designed. We ate dinner in the lamp lit dining room each evening, breakfast in the library and afternoon cream tea in the leather armchairs overlooking the garden. Flawless! We hope to return one day.

Back again for a night away for our Anniversary. Excellent as ever and a lovely room which we have stayed in previously. The lamb we both had for our main meal was particularly good. We did the usual of thinking when can we come again as soon as we left!

Lovely hotel -friendly and helpful staff. Room was really cozy and well decorated. Great heating! The hotel and grounds are stunning. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were of good quality and served well. The only thing with dinner was I’m not keen on duck-we were there two nights and choice was good however if there for a third I would have struggled as two items on the menu were duck (maybe offer chicken?) On the whole we had a great time and would highly recommended the hotel

Everything about our overnight stay was excellent. From the warm and friendly welcome when we first stepped over the threshold, the professional service from every one of the members of staff, the arrangements for dinner, the quality of the food, the fabulous wine, to the gorgeous room (number 8). A special mention must go to the manager Kevin who was everything you could ever wish for in a hospitality industry host, but also to Josh who’s wine knowledge and recommendation was spot on. Thank you everyone, as you made my wife’s birthday celebration one to remember. Until next time!
