Travelodge Newbury Tot Hill

I stayed here a year ago roughly and vowed never again. I was booked in the other day as part of a business event so gritted my teeth and walked in. All I can say is what a fantastic transformation. This hotel now has a modern looking interior, it’s clean, the staff are very friendly and happy to help with anything. A year ago I felt as welcome as an infection but now would gladly return. My room was fresh and most importantly, warm. The heater was set on low when I got there which was a thoughtful touch. The receptionist told me of a local pub round the corner which was a great recommendation, parking is free and plentiful, and I had a peaceful nights sleep. A gentleman asked me about my stay as I left and even thanked me for staying there. Very impressed.

Needing somewhere to sleep on our journey north this proved an excellent option. Despite the late hour we were warmly welcomed. Our recently refurbished room was clean, comfy and quiet. It was also great value for money.

Stayed here last summer and returned this weekend. The hotel has had a full refurb since and I am very impressed. Great service and welcome (as before!), the rooms were clean and the new decor was great. Black out curtains made for a better sleep! Keep up the good work

Very nice warm welcome by all staff here . After a bad experience of customer service you all put my faith back into the fact there is great service around . I felt relieved of my stress as soon as I walked in to reception. A great team and a big thank you from me .

Amazing customer service! I stayed there as temporary accommodation for a week, and I can honestly say I have never felt more at home. The staff is amazing and ensured we had a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi was a little unstable; however, we used Starbucks (free of charge).

Lovely warm welcome from the reception team. They recommended me a great local pub with a discount for Travelodge guests which was helpful as I don’t know the area. The team were obviously having some problems with works being carried out in the hotel but were dealing with it so well and professionally with minimal disruption to me. The rooms are newly decorated and are very comfortable. The lady apologised for the slight paint smell and explained they were in the middle of refurbishment, and yes this was evident in the corridors but my room was lovely and fresh so no complaints from me. It’s good to see Travelodge investing in a small roadside hotel. For the money I paid I was extremely happy and will stay here again. Thank you also to the gentleman that carried my bag upstairs for me as I had quite a lot of luggage with me.
