Comal Inn

The Texas Cottage was wonderful! It’s quiet and peaceful but only a block from the Comal River. It’s a 10 minute walk to a variety of excellent restaurants, coffee shops & bakeries, a saloon and 444 Tubing. The Cottage is clean and the beds are comfortable. It’s stocked with everything we needed for a lovely vacation. I would definitely stay again.

Comal Inn was perfect. My cottage was immaculate and well appointed with a bed that was extremely comfortable. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and relaxing, plus the Inn is located in a quiet neighborhood. Not too far from Naegelin’s Bakery! A return visit? Definitely.

Stayed in the Texas Cottage with the second bedroom locked to configure as the Texas Room. 1 BR and bath and large living area and kitchen. Clean, attractive bungalow with everything you need- even some goodies to eat for you. Quiet neighborhood but close to everything in NB and Gruene. Owners were friendly and easy to reach if we had questions. Just terrific!

This is a fantastic Inn to stay at when visiting the New Braunfel’s location. The location of the Inn is in a very peaceful location, the room was beyond clean, the outside porch area was equally clean, the continental breakfast was from a local bakery which was delicious, the bed was very comfy and the owners are very nice people. I would highly recommend this place to a couple or a family visiting the area. You can feel the quaint, historical feel of this Inn.

Our third time here …. The fit is perfect for us …. We travel constantly and when we do we like digs that make us feel at home … this place works for us … makes u feel part of the community… or gruene hall which is main reason for visiting new braunfels… all good here at the comals inn….. small negative…. Folgers coffee…. Step it up …. Yes I’m a coffee snub but driving to Starbucks in the morning is solvable … I’d definitely come back and despite…. I’ll bring my own coffee next time

Really loved our stay at The Comal Inn 10/12-15/2023!!! We traveled with our daughter, SIL and 1 year old granddaughter. The Texas Cottage had a 2 bedroom/2 full bath. Both rooms had a king size bed. One bathroom had a tub which was needed for our granddaughter. Rare to find 2 full baths in vacation rentals. It was perfect for us. A front porch with 6 rocking chairs and comfy cushions was ours as well. Both rooms were the same size and we loved that we couldn’t hear anything from the other room and vice versa! The family room is perfect with lots of room and places to sit. Breakfast for the first day is provided and it is bountiful including a pastry from Naegelin’s bakery! The owners, Julie & Brent were super nice and answered any questions or provided anything needed quickly which is a plus. Quick walk to all the fun of downtown New Braunfels and 4 miles from Gruene, Tx. Highly recommend it!!!

Quiet, well located, very clean, charming. We enjoyed our short stay. Breakfast food was good, and refrigerator fitted our needs. In the center of all the places we wanted to go, including eclipse viewing area that day. Carol Scott

Quaint quiet place within about 3 blocks of dowtown NB. The owners were very hospitable and accommodating and we really loved the room-it had everything necessary and then some and very clean and comfortable. I liked that it had a ceiling fan but wish we could have turned it up higher. We had activities planned in Gruene and this was about a 10-12 minute drive

Fantastic place, great location. My wife and I stayed three night and loved the Cypress Room. Downtown is a very easy walk from Comal Inn, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the front deck area is a quiet, peaceful place to enjoy coffee in the morning or a drink in the afternoon. We recommend the Comal Inn highly and will definitely stay there again if we return to New Braunfels!
