We booked in for a stay between a family event and The Malvern Autumn Show. Only hotel with vacancies convenient to both. Parking is on street only so it can be a challenge in the evening (Saturday for us). However, we soon bagged a space close by. The hotel only has four rooms and being such an old building they are quirky. Floors not level and walls not square - exposed wood beams etc. Lighting, as with many hotels, not really adequate for female make up purposes. Plenty of electrical points. Initially thought the bed might be on the soft side, but actually we slept very well. Traffic noise from around 0530, but it is on the only road in town so no surprise there. As we were leaving before breakfast service began we had the in room continental option. Nice tray of cereals, croissants, fruit juice, milk carton and butter and jam. Did the job, but probably not as expensive to produce as the cooked option with no cost reduction. The pub is a good old fashioned period one. Late September and too early for the log fire - unfortunately. However, the staff are polite, efficient and friendly. Standard of cleanliness is very good. Vacated tables wee cleared and cleaned quickly. Food menu looked good, but did not see anyone eating and evening service stops at 8pm. Closing time is swiftly enforced allowing guests time to sleep quietly. We will certainly put this hotel in our places to stay book and come back if back in the area.
