Really friendly hosts, lovely food and right on the water. We had good wifi and it was such a unique experience. I would encourage everyone to stay here. It was nice to stay with a family who have lived here for generations and to get to know plus it was convenient for seeing the water

Gorgeous location with very friendly people. The food is delicious and catered to our small children well. No request was small enough. It felt like we were staying with family! Wish we had stayed more than 1 night but we will definitely back for longer!

I want to keep kurialacherry house a secret but that would be unfair… This is what peace looks and feels like. Sitting on the river bank watching the houseboats go by surrounded by nature, watching mongoose play in the bushes and the family of geece cross the garden to wash and bathe, yoga on the terrace and incredible food. Delightful owners and kind, attentive staff (Mr Kumar!). I will be back. Please don’t ever change…

We stayed with Jacob and Elizabeth for 4 nights towards the end of a four week trip in India. We arrived with no particular plans, aside from relaxation and seeing life in Kerala's backwaters. We were not disappointed - and our indeed our expectations were surpassed. The atmosphere of the area is amazing, and Jacob and Elizabeth have plenty of interesting activities (many of them free of charge) which reveal the a slice of the village life here. In particular, the early morning canoe ride, the cooking demo and the village walk were highlights for us. The food they serve for every meal was fantastic, we both agreed that it was the best we had in our entire trip, which included visiting places in both North and South India. All at a very reasonable price. The staff that they employ are very welcoming and friendly too, with a particular thanks to Shree Kumar who took us out on many of the excursions and taught us about the area and the life of the local people. Overall, Kurialacherry House ended up being our favourite place that we stayed in India. We hope to come back, and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Nice comfortable accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Lovely location on the Kerala backwaters. The highlight is of course the owners (Jacob and Elizabeth) and the staff, especially Shree - personalized attention and service. We asked for authentic Kerala food (vegetarian) and we got exactly that and very tasty. A Kerela vacation is all about chilling out and relaxing and this place offered that. A lazy meandering boat ride, a leisurely guided village walk with Shree (a staff), and a few things around nearby Alappuzha town. The nearby Champakulam St. Mary's Basilica very simple and elegant.

The entire stay with Jacob, Elsbeth and daughter was wonderful. The location, right next to the river was deeply peaceful; watching the local people, wildlife and houseboats come into life every morning, something I will carry in my heart. All the food was delicious and Mr Shree takes you on a lovely walking tour of his village. I would recommend this for anyone seeking some peace and joy, within a special place, paddy fields and rivers. Just beautiful, thank you for taking such good care of us.

The wonderful homestay deserves 10 stars if there was such a thing. Jacob and Elizabeth are superb hosts, the home is gorgeous and full of lovely features. The food is so delicious and lots of ir. My room was the one closest to the water and extremely clean and comfortable with a patio where we practiced yoga with the teacher Jacob organised, the classes were great. Our sunrise cruise in the canoe was just perfect. Jacob helped organise ongoing travel and local trip to temple. You will be literally in the backwaters with lovely views and watching life go by. , Just fabulous stay and highly recommended. Thank you to Mr kumar as well for our village walk and for all his help. Wonderful

Kurialcherry House is heaven—pristine, peaceful, and pure—from the hosts to the place, the vibe, and the food. It is for those who want to experience life in its purest form. The place is beautiful, calm, and untouched by noise. The food is good, and the hosts are fab. Don't go here with a checklist of things to do—drop your checklists and go here.

This is such a calm and scenic place. The host and the caretaker were so welcoming and friendly. The local cuisine was so delicious. The morning boating was was so soothing. The room was maintained in proper kerala traditional style. The view from the room was serene especially the mornings. Will definitely come back here!!!!
