Masseria Corsano

Of the four hotels I stayed in during my trip to the Puglia region of Italy, Masseria Corsano was unfortunately my least favorite. While the property is new and clean, it felt stark and impersonal. Situated in the middle of nowhere, the barren landscape, with only a dry vineyard visible from our roof deck, didn’t offer much in terms of scenery. For such a large property, I expected more activities beyond just the pool and dining, but there was very little to do. There is a tennis court and spa, but even with these amenities, the property still felt lacking. On the positive side, we did have a great couples massage in the spa, which was a highlight. However, it was odd that all of the hot tubs on the property were filled with bubbling cold water. The food was good, and the bartender was fabulous, creating wonderful, innovative cocktails. The restaurant staff was courteous, though a bit inattentive at times. Unfortunately, the abundance of screaming kids made it less romantic than we had hoped, so I’d recommend this place more for families. I also agree with a previous reviewer about the loud music—it felt unnecessary and didn’t add to the ambiance.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. It was excellent. Beautifully designed. Excellent staff, Bob, Gabriel, and their mixologist Andre. Delicious food at the restaurant. We had breakfast lunch and dinner all highly recommended. We treated ourself to a suite. It was divine. Huge comfortable bed and pillows. Efficient air con. Lovely products in the bathroom. Great pool with very comfortable loungers. Short drive to a lovely small beach town - Santa Maria al bagno. A great place to spend time in luxurious tranquility. If I could go there every 6 months to restore my soul I would.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in June 24, seeking a relaxing break. This hotel, which is in the middle of nowhere, so potentially blissfully tranquil, could have delivered it - if only they would turn off the incessant drone of music that they insist on blasting across every public area of the hotel, inside and out. Most irritatating of all is that you cannot read your book or snooze by the (smallish) pool because of the cacophany! We asked politely several times for it to be turned off, but only got shrugs. Definitely have a car, as you will soon tire of the limited menu and expensive restaurant and it's well worth exploring the restaurants in the amazing local towns, including Nardo. Strangely there is no al fresco at either dining area at the hotel, so you find yourself in an air conditioned room - being blasted by music at breakfast or dinner too! Mostly delightful staff.

The hotel is set in spacious and beautiful grounds with a stunning pool area and plenty of sun beds. Our stylish suite had everything you could need and the comfiest bed with pillow menu. If one private furnished terrace wasn’t enough, there is another to the rear with sun loungers and hot tub to watch the sun go down. We came out of season in October and the atmosphere was so relaxed and peaceful. The food and drinks are expensive but delicious. Definitely recommend having a car to explore and dine out as there is nothing within walking distance. We found that the layout of breakfast encouraged you to fill up on bread and pastries before ordering cooked food. This became repetitive after a couple of days and would have been more appealing as a buffet. Overall a lovely stay and thank you for our honeymoon gift.

Unfortunately because of illness we had to cancel a long awaited trip to Masseria Corsano in September. The hotel agreed in writing to refund those days of our trip which fell outside the two week cancellation period. 8 weeks later and no refund has come. I chase weekly but they now ignore my emails.

We had a wonderful time at the amazing Masseria Corsano. It exceeded our expectations & the service from all the staff was excellent in making us feel welcome. A big 'shout out' to all the staff, from front desk to the barman Andre who supplied us with great cocktails & to the waiting staff particularly Gabriele who had a lot of time for us. They were all very helpful. We also met one of the co-owners who just happened to originate from the same country we did & he was so graceful & generous with his time which made us feel at home. It is a miracle what they have done architecturally with the old masseria to make it what it is today. They have respectfully converted it into a small modern hotel with all the amenities one would want on a holiday. Our suite was generous in size & well-appointed with nice outdoor seating areas. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. There were a variety of places to relax or sit in the public spaces & around the pool or in the bar area. We really enjoyed the food at Masseria Corsano, both breakfast & dinner as well as the pool side snacks in between. All fresh & tasty. All in all, a really enjoyable stay & a good base from which to explore Puglia. Bravo!

We stayed in early May. The weather was mixed but we still had a fantastic time. The staff at the Corsana could not do enough for us and our young son who constantly caused a mess in the restaurant. It is a state of the art place but with old school Italian charm. Only four stars as it was very expensive and probably not the best value for money overall. Ps you need a hire car to get around

Before we arrived at the hotel, my trip to Italy was crazy! The airline lost our baggage and the airport staff drove us crazy as very few understood English. When I finally arrived at Masseria Corsano, I was tired and stressed. The staff are very polite and helpful, and easy to communicate with. The rooms are fresh, clean, and modern in design. One of the staff members: David. He is a great person and made sure that my husband and I were comfortable and answered any questions or requests we had. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone and would come here again. This place is a dream.
