Murdeira Village Resort

Dieses Hotel war sehr enttäuschend. Ich würde es nicht einmal mit einem Stern bewerten. Zunächst einmal mit dem Essen. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht. Das Frühstück bestand aus Rührei und Dosenpilzen und nur an einem Tag gab es Speck. Das einzige Müsli waren Coco Pops. Das Abendessen wurde so billig wie möglich zubereitet. Auch sehr begrenzt und jeden Tag mit Pommes und Reis serviert. Die Hotelzimmer waren sehr veraltet und das Bad und die Dusche waren entsetzlich. Der Hotelpool gehörte eigentlich nicht zum Hotel, es war der Dorfpool, der von allen Dorfbewohnern genutzt wird. Die Toiletten hatten drei Tage lang kein Wasser, um die Kette zu blinken oder sich die Hände zu waschen. Das Hotel ist außerdem eine kleine Terrasse an einer der Straßen im Dorf. Das beworbene Spa war nur eine kleine Hütte, die nie geöffnet war. Dieses Hotel war eine solche Enttäuschung und überhaupt nicht so, wie es beworben wurde. Wir erwarteten eine halbwegs anständige Unterkunft und gutes Essen. An Silvester gab es ein Buffet, das das einzige gute Essen war, das wir im ganzen Urlaub hatten. Das einzig Positive, was ich über unseren Aufenthalt sagen kann, ist, dass das Personal sehr freundlich war und sein Bestes gab, um mit den begrenzten Ressourcen, die ihnen zur Verfügung standen, auszukommen. Sal war entspannt und die Insel selbst hat uns gefallen.

Das ist das schlechteste Hotel, in dem ich je übernachtet habe. Es ist auf keinen Fall ein 4-Sterne-Hotel. Ich war in einem 3-Sterne-Hotel, das einen viel besseren Service und eine viel bessere Qualität hatte. Das Personal ist sehr nett, aber das Hotel ist leider Mist. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen kalt, nichts im Hotel funktionierte, es gab kein Bügeleisen zum Bügeln der Kleidung, die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht, das Telefon im Zimmer funktionierte nicht, Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher waren kaputt, Ameisen stecken in uns die Betten. Sie haben keine Unterhaltung, die Getränke und das Essen waren nicht gut und um das Ganze noch schlimmer zu machen, haben sie die Frechheit, den Leuten eine Zimmersteuer zu berechnen. Bleiben Sie diesem Hotel fern, wenn Sie auf der Suche nach dem Nötigsten sind. Eines Nachts fiel sogar der Strom aus, als ich aufstehen musste, um auf die Toilette zu gehen.

Das war einfach schlecht. Das Zimmer sah auf den ersten Blick großartig aus, aber auf der Terrasse flackerte das Licht – das würde laut Rezeptionistin sofort repariert werden, wurde aber nie repariert), die Fernbedienung des Fernsehers war ohne Batterien (das konnten sie reparieren), die erste (kalte) Dusche führte zu zwei Folgen kaputte Teile (Handtuchhalter und Dusche selbst fielen herunter). Dann war da noch der Rest: In der Informationsbroschüre hieß es, dass die Reservierung von Poolbetten nicht erlaubt sei... nun ja, alle hatten „einige“ Reservierungsmarkierungen wie Hüte/Handtücher/anderes Zeug, aber die meisten davon wurden nie benutzt Es gab also das typische lästige Reservierungssystem, das Personal griff nicht ein und ließ los, so dass man sich nur mit etwas Arroganz einen Platz in der Nähe des Schwimmbades sichern konnte. Und dann das Essen. Wir bestellten Pizza, sicher waren sie Minuten zuvor gefroren. Das Frühstück bestand auch nur aus aufgewärmten Konserven. Und das Lustige ist, dass die Zimmer zwar mit Teetassen und Teebeuteln, aber ohne Wasserkocher ausgestattet sind. Wir haben gefragt, sie würden es arrangieren... aber das haben wir natürlich nie getan.

all inclusive at half board level. On the hotel beach 4 (four words)! wooden deckchairs and 6 umbrellas... Difficult entry into the ocean over rocks - water shoes required. Overall a boring place - nothing to do here. Older equipment of the apartment. The staff seem to pretend they are there for punishment.

As other travelers have mentioned, I only can confirm this place isn’t really worth the money. We first booked two rooms directly with the hotel but have been told there are no rooms left. Yet on Agoda and Booking still were, so we booked them from there. Once arrived we were not really sure we would get the rooms, given their confusing emails, and the lady at the reception was really rude and impolite, ignoring our questions and just laughing and asking for the money. The two rooms (80$ each) were with no breakfast, at the very end of the village, last row, parallel to the highway Esparagos-Santa Maria. Tea bags available but no kettle. All very clean but shower broken, towels worn out, mini fridge terribly noisy and no way to plug it out. Terrace dirty and yeah, I understand u have 500 rooms to clean but hey, we are paying 😄 Swimming pool near this “restaurant” with really unpleasant staff; they asked us to order at the bar, the bar told us to order at the restaurant, they argued, in the and almost obligated us to pay 15€ and find something heated up in the -almost gone- buffet. Anything we pointed on the menu was “finish” or “tomorrow “ , accompanied by a laugh. As my mum suffers from diabetes and HAD to eat something, they agreed for a panini but 15 min later brought a salad… The FOUR,4!, wooden long chairs on the beach are a joke:) Still, if u enjoy wild beaches and do not need un umbrella, head left or right along the cost and you will find a better place. Also: they charge 15€ for a taxi to anywhere, but just exit the village, wait a bit on the main road and vans will stop and safely bring u for 1€ anywhere.

Me and my partner recently spent a week here in December. The staff were really friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, helping us book excursions, taxis and transfer. We had a lovely apartment room which was cleaned daily. We were bed and breakfast, and enjoyed a buffet breakfast each day which had a large variety of choice. We also chose to have dinner at the restaurant a few nights, the fish of the day had to be one of our favourites but there were lots of choices, pizza and burgers were amazing too! Both enjoyed the pool area and think the location of the hotel is perfect, the free bud to Santa Maria is a nice touch. But it’s nice to come back to the more secluded Murdeira and relax away from the crowds. Would definitely recommend!

We were a group of 15 friends celebrating Christmas eve together and every one of us had a beautiful lunch. It's difficult to make so people happy at one time and they totally pulled it off!! The service was amazing, the food was excellent and the price is really fair. The manager was extremely attentive to the group ensuring all ran smoothly. We were all delighted and will definitely return. Great job...keep up the good work 😃

Experiência boa. Pessoal simpático e atencioso. Refeições bem confeccionadas, e com variedade. Produtos frescos. Água da piscina tratada mas talvez fosse possível tornar a água mais azul em vez do tom verde e algum lodo "verdete" no fundo. O chão em torno da piscina também necessitava de uma reparação. Para andar descalço pode ser perigos já que tem pedras soltas ou em alguns lados não tem de todo pedra. De resto as pessoas são acessíveis e um pequeno problema que tive com o serviço de limpeza depois de reportado foi tratado em 10 minutos. Um sítio a voltar com certeza.

Rustig, ver van de drukte. Met de taxi naar het enige touristische dorp in de buurt. Eten niet bijzonder. Mensen zijn vriendelijk. Weinig te doen. Als je van rust houd zit je goed. Bar naast Mudeira Village is gezellig.
