SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh Mt. Lebanon

The hotel was nice but it did need some TLC. The sofa bed was dirty like they never vacuumed under it or moved the pillows/mattress. It was also disappointing to have to pay for parking. The hotel was close to residential areas so I would have thought that they would have had a secure parking lot.

I visit this area of Allegheny County often for work and have stayed in nearly all Marriotts and Hiltons, so I wanted to mix it up a little and stay here on a recent work trip. *Checking in – Was friendly, went very well, and she hit all the important topics. Acknowledged my status, asked about parking, told me about their amenities, breakfast, etc and was helpful. *Room – Was decent, though slightly dated. Nice and interesting layout though, as the water closet was separate from the shower, with a sink in each. Nice separate living room and work desk area from the sleeping area, with a sliding glass window on the desk to open the two spaces to slightly “connect” them better. Sleep quality was decent, thought slightly on the firm side and I do prefer firm, but this bed seemed like it was a little more firm than other Marriott beds. The quality of the shower was great. I was only staying two nights and there’s no housekeeping for that short of a stay, but there was plenty of towels to last me without re-using them (I NEVER re-use towels, especially in a hotel). Tissue was very poor quality and harsh though. *Location – If you’re staying in this area to visit within a 3 mile radius, it’s probably a nice location. But if you need to visit Moon, Coraopolis, or even the City at all, stay elsewhere! This location involves driving through these very odd/villages boroughs to get to the highway (which is 376 and they call it “The Parkway”) and with all the absolutely ridiculous stop signs and lights they put up in this area of PA, it takes15 minutes to go 3 miles. The Pittsburgh Airport Marriott has one of the easiest to access locations as it’s right off the highway. Though this hotel is within walking distance of many places to eat and/or grab a drink! And the restaurants in the Mt Lebanon are probably some of the nicest outside the city, to the west that is. *Property – It has a decent gym. They offer breakfast for free. There’s a parking garage in the lower levels of the hotel, which is very tight to navigate, so if you have a full size pickup or land-yacht, it’ll be hard! I had an Audi Q5 and that was as wide as you’d want in that tight garage! Overall, it was a decent stay, but I can’t stand driving in Allegheny County and through all these silly traffic obstacles they make up, with lights and 4-way stop intersections. I’ll stay closer to the highway in the future.

I stayed at SpringHill Suites Mount Lebanon on the recommendation of relatives who live about a ten-minute drive away. The purpose of the stay was a family Thanksgiving. This is a decent hotel, offering comfortable rooms and indoor parking. Very clean. Noise transmission isn't bad other than the occasional noisy vehicle on Washington Road. My room was close to the elevator, and I really didn't experience any objectionable sounds from other hotel guests. A few observations: 1. The shower and vanity were in a separate room from the powder room toilet and pedestal sink. The toilet is way too low to the ground. When I first saw it, I thought perhaps it was child-sized 2. The bed was comfortable. That being said, the pillows weren't. They were poly-fill and overstuffed. Unless you enjoy sleeping on pillows that feel like a taut balloon, think about bringing your own. Room thermostat was easy. 3. The parking garage entrance is off an alleyway behind the hotel. It is not well-marked. Suggestion to management . . . install a larger, lighted sign back there. Anyone arriving after dark has a problem finding the right driveway. I know I did, even in daytime. I circled repeatedly, not knowing from the back which building entrance applied. Right now, parking is an extra charge (I recall $15 a day). Not the best approach. 4. Breakfast is served daily in a lobby lounge. The staff members who maintain the buffet are hardworking and very helpful. Thank you! They have a variety of breakfast items, with both hot and cold options. Is it gourmet fare? Nope. Is it OK for a freebie meal on the run? Yes. Bring hand sanitizer. 5. The room had both a dorm refrigerator and a mini microwave. The refrigerator kept things cool, not extremely cold. Items sold in the snack bar located in the lobby are predictably overpriced. 6. You may be asked at check-in whether you want housekeeping every couple of days. I opted out. It was easy to get extra towels on request without full service. The stars given reflect that this is one of the better local options.

Very good location Springhill Suites within walking distance to several restaurants, shops, and churches. Nice spacious rooms and clean facilities. Free breakfast was "ok" but could definitely improve. Parking garage is tight with limited spaces.

We’ve stayed at this Marriott since they opened. The location is convenient to all our events from family visits to hockey tournaments. They’ve done a good job updating the hotel over the years, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Our stay at Springfield Suites Mt Lebanon was so disappointing. Where to begin. They room was damp our whole stay Thursday to Monday. The beds were hard, the pillows really ******. feather. Hard and lumpy after you laid on them a few mins. Our drape rod broke the second we touched it. The toilet is so low to the ground! And the lights in the shower sink area were so dim I couldn’t apply makeup, my husband struggled to shave. There was three bottles of conditioner. No shampoo or body soap. One light burned out in the smaller bathroom with the toilet. And at night……so much ambient light it was ridiculous. Bath bathrooms glowed with lighted light switches. And glass doors so light shines through. With lights from tv, phone, wifi, and various other little lit things. And finally, the free breakfast. I tried a croissant sandwich. I think it was made days ago. Hard as a rock, ham dried hard on edges. I tried then a pastry. Stale and hard. My husband ate some oatmeal, average at best. I finally ate a teeny oatmeal and a 2 oz cup of juice. How about a slightly larger cup for those of use who can’t drink coffee? I am usually happy with free continental breakfasts, but this was awful.

Very nice hotel. We stayed here one night to attend the Pirates game. The hotel is right across from the light rail which takes you downtown. There is a parking fee for the hotel, but we saw that there was a public parking garage nearby, so it may cost you less than that. The room was spacious and quiet. The breakfast was just okay. We actually took a walk around the downtown Mt Lebanon square and got some coffee and a scone from the locals. Only thing keeping me from making it a 5 star was the breakfast.

Lobby AC not working. Put us in a room for differently abled persons. The valve for shower/handheld shower doesn't work. The shower curtain is 6" off the floor, so anything on the floor is going to get wet, like the bath mat for instance. No soap dish or shelf. Only a pillow, 1 sheet and a blanket in the pack for the trundle bed. Something above the bathroom rumbles like a freight train. Marriott wants over $200/night for a room here, and charges extra for parking. I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member, this is the garbage you get using points.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Springhill Suites in Mt. Lebanon. It is located in the center of town which has just about any kind of food you might prefer. The room was very unique in that it had a small sitting area with a couch, beverage prep and a neat desk set apart from the bedroom. Everything in the room worked as expected. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise - especially the scrambled eggs. The parking in the garage (extra charge) was a bit small and tricky to navigate. But overall, no complaints and a big thumbs up for this hotel.
