I love this little gem. Clean, Comfortable, Convenient, Charming. I've stayed here about five times during my travels and I've never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The location allows for choices in dinner, lunch and breakfast within a short walk. I always feel safe walking around the area. The Mexican restaurant next door is my usual go-to. And I am so grateful they allow dogs, my pup loved our stay too.

We had stayed here several months ago in a King Suite and while the room was rustic, it was comfortable and clean. This time we stayed in a Queen "Suite" and it was not a good experience. It is not a suite - it's just a room and it is very tight. There was a portable, very loud a/c and a heater which, even lowered, was too hot. The temp in the shower was luke warm. At the price we paid, the value just isn't there. Pros: breakfast was delicious and staff is very friendly and it is quiet. Also the bed is comfortable.

This hotel was the quaintest, comfortable, clean, quiet place. Adorable rooms with lovely chandeliers and decor. The bed was comfortable and cozy. I am picky about toiletries, and usually bring my own, but these seemed to be good quality and smelled nice. The breakfast was homemade berry waffle with a boiled egg and was so yummy! I didn't get the name of the woman who made and served breakfast, but she was really nice and told us a little history of the hotel. We look forward to coming back!

Happened upon the SVI when my wife and I were looking for a place to stay for the night in the middle of long drive from Vancouver WA to Reno NV - were very pleasantly surprised to find a room with a very soft and comfortable bed and excellent furnishings. There were several garden areas around the hotel where one could sit and enjoy the fresh air and tall pine trees of the area. There was a restaurant right across the street which was very convenient with very good food and there was also a continental breakfast served in the morning at the SVI (although we left early in the morning before it started). Will definitely stay there again if our travels will find us needing a place to stay on the I-5 corridor between California and Oregon.

We are loving our experience here. We are in a suite. The room is pristine and the bed comfy. We fell asleep to the sound of MANY frogs who live in the nursery next door, with the occasional hoot of a passing train through the night. The staff are friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast served in the main building was very nice. We can hang outside under the trees behind the main building. We love that we can park right in front of our room. No schlepping our luggage. We had a great dinner at Harvest, right across the street. We got 10% off our entries.

Beautiful property in Mount Shasta, walking distance to restaurants and shops . Several outdoor seating areas under shade trees plus a patio outside the room. Breakfast was delicious and had choices for everyone. The afternoon wine was a nice touch. Our king bed room was very clean and included frig and microwave.

We lucked out getting a room here as they were busy hosting a retreat group. As soon as we saw it from the street we were utterly charmed. We stayed in a room with a queen bed, but while maybe a little small, it suited our needs. There was an electric fireplace for ambiance and/or heat (we didn’t need heat). No, it’s not a modern building where everything is up to date and fabulous, but the small imperfections of an older establishment did not take away from the relaxing pleasure of the experience. I sat outside in the afternoon to read. It was quiet and I felt quite safe. Breakfast took us by surprise as we were served in the dining room from a grand old kitchen. Staff, service and experience all earned 5 stars from us.

This was a fantastic stay! We stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are so nice and the whole place is quiet and cozy. It is perfect for accessing Mt. Shasta and all the wonderful nature around it. It is located on the main drag with lots of food options. The grounds are charming. The breakfast offered is minimal, but there are lots of other great options nearby.

The Strawberry Valley is a good option for a stay in Mount Shasta. The room featured a fridge, microwave, flat screen TV with plenty of channels, free Wi-Fi, coffee maker and an in-room safe. The complimentary, freshly prepared breakfast was nice and included a waffle, maple syrup, boiled egg, Cantaloupe and Watermelon. There was also the choice of bread/toast and cereal.
