Mornington Inn

Surprisingly very comfortable and has got everything what we need. Free car park and great meal just in front. Definitely stay there again.

The room was clean. Bed was comfortable.

Can’t complain about the meal it was great but all I can say is “WOW” the attitude of the bar & service staff was shocking. Took my mother out for her birthday & it was just so disappointing to have it ruined with drawling sarcasm & rude answers. Doesn’t matter how nice the food is!!! Not going back.

It's the second time I went to this bistro. The last time was a year ago and it wasn't great. I thought I'd give it another go. I ordered a Sirloin steak, said on the paper menu being 350g at $36, but on their "specials" board $35 for 250g. I did point out this to the lady at the counter, she said, you will get a 350g. I wanted a medium rare. It ended up being a steak of about 250g in size, fully cooked through and tough as with lots of tendons. I had a sirloin at Risdon Cove Tavern a week ago, paid about the same price and it was superb, literally chalk and cheese. I would not go back to Mornington Inn again.

The tavern was next door to our accomodation we ate here on our last night in Tassie. Had seafood platter and mango chicken curry. They were very busy and got us a table as we had not booked. Food was good and good variety good prices. Would recommend

Had meal at mornington hotel meals that were brought out were cold.staff not that friendly.We had our meal about 3 pm as they advertise meals till 8pm thought we would eat before heading out to town .Would not recommend to family and friends.

Right next door to our accommodation. Friendly staff, good menu, clean. Lengthy wait for our food due to being very popular but worth the wait. My choice was Vietnamese Thai Salad (yum), friend had small serve of the roast & enjoyed her meal. Prices were reasonable.

I eat there with friends or with my husband regularly. Last night we went for a meal as didn’t feel like cooking. Since it has been under new management and reopened it is so much better food wise. There are quite a few choices and the food is generally tasty and of generous sizing. On a Tuesday night they offer a seniors special main and dessert for $20.
