Courtyard by Marriott Monroe Airport

There was some construction going on, but it may have been conference rooms. For what you pay, this place should have been in far better condition. Baseboards were missing in the hall. The aging tub had mildewed grout. The tub faucet handle pulled out of the wall as you used it (new one on me). My room number had the 3rd digit written in with a Sharpie. Class. The room hardly had anywhere to set anything down. The carpet was OK surprisingly, but the filth behind the TV and refrigerator cabinet looked like it had been there for years. The lighting in the room was ridiculously dim. The staff was very nice and did the best generally with what they were given. The one side chair provided was stained. At least the beds were pretty good, and the room didn't stink. The shower was hot and powerful. For once I didn't smell cigarette smoke at all. There is almost always someone cheating somewhere in a hotel and smoking. For what you pay, the condition of hotels is atrocious in general these days. I've only really stayed at 2 affordable hotels ever that were properly maintained: The Houston Marriott (probably because it was new) and Caesar's Palace. I don't travel much anymore, and ripoff dingy hotels are one of the reasons.

This place was terrible. I get to the room after a long day. Go straight to bed. Get up the next morning and turn on the light in the shower/toilet area. I see drops of water on the floor. I looked up to find a moldy wet mess. Then I go pull the bedding back and look at the mattress. Won’t do that again. The carpet has not been cleaned in some time. I will never stay here again

Great place to stay. Comfortable bed. Place was very clean and staff was great. Only thing that I didn't like was no contromentry breakfast but over all great place to stay. I wold stay here again. It smelled great no cigarette smell at all. Great stay!!!

Briana at the front desk was rude. her face was glued to her phone and she did not greet me or acknowlege me when I checked in. I stood in front of her for a few minutes before she noticed. this is unacceptable. The hallways smell musty and smoky. The elevator feels unsafe. The room had a spider. never in my life have I experienced this at a marriott hotel. This hotel must be old. They need to remodel this place. The general manager let this place go to trash. I will not be back. Terrible!!!!!!!

This place IS and should PERMANENTLY BE a HARD PASS when trying to decide where to stay for your trip! Upon entering our room #201 we saw “something” on the edge of the box spring. When we lifted the bed skirt to do the “bed check” we found the stains in the photos below. It appeared red/brown stained looking like blood but wasn’t something we were even remotely going to entertain in our room. There was also hair in the bed. As quickly as we walked into the room we walked back out. They moved us to room #205. The room hit us immediately with a smell of must and mildew. And although the box spring didn’t have stains on it the bed skirt had a very questionable stain on it. We promptly packed up our stuff and headed downstairs to request a full refund. Victoria and Tonya were very sweet upon us arriving and just as helpful in checking us out after dealing with 2 bad rooms in a matter of minutes. They rectified the situation and gave me a $0.00 charge receipt. We left Courtyard Marriott Monroe and checked into the Hampton Inn and Suites Monroe - 5100 Frontage Road Monroe, Louisiana 71202. Talk about night and day difference! It was beautiful, clean, comfortable, smelled amazing and exactly what a room should be! Tyra and Ciera were so helpful and got us into our room right away. They each had wonderful interactions with us during our stay and gave us some great locations to visit whole we were here. So HARD PASS on the COURTYARD MARRIOTT MONROE! YES to Hampton Inn and Suites Monroe!

The check-in process was quick and efficient & the room selections were decent. The hotel is located next door to an Applebees as well as a small mall that closed early. Airport is about 3-4 minutes away allowing travelers plenty of time to make it to their flights.

We’ve often stayed at Courtyard by Marriott. First, a compliment. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The room itself was worn (sofa, curtains, mattress seemed spongy). There was also a little debris on the tile floor sink area. Also the bedside lamp with integrated electrical outlets wouldn’t hold a phone charger plug. It repeatedly slipped out and would stay plugged in. This particular hotel was less than “polished.” Though intended to be informational, the “park at your own risk” was not very inviting.

So I am an avid marriott member and when I come to Monroe I usually stay at the courtyard and normal I dont search arou d cause my assumption is that marriott has standards. So I have to say this is the last time I will stay at the courtyard I probably would not have noticed it, but i just so happen to look up while brushing my teath and see black mold on the ceiling I mean take a little pride in your property! By the way it was room 108

This property is right next to the highway and you'll hear it all night. Also, they won't honor a room type. The Marriott app confirmed a King but when we got there we were given a twin queen -- not happy. When I showed the confirmation to the clerk said, "I'm sorry but that's what I have. If you don;t want it, I can give it to someone else as we're overbooked." This franchise owner doesn't care....
