The Broughton Hotel by Greene King Inns

For a modestly priced hotel this was far better than expected. The lady who checked me in was great. My room was very comfortable. A large single bed, crisp linen, tea and coffee with biccies. It is a busy pub / restaurant downstairs but my room was quiet. I’d go back.

bit of a mixed review, firstly the bathroom!! was awful old, the plug hole had started rusting and was sharp! this is in a family room you couldn't wash your child in that bath !, toilet seat old and stained, the shower had no pressure was more like a dripping tap, bathrooms need a revamp badly. but the hotel staff are amazing, the hotel was clean, the restaurant was lovely and clean and again the staff were amazing the food was beautiful, I spoke to the managers about the bathroom and they were so apologetic and explained they are working on it. this is a lovely site, great parking, amazing restaurant, amazing staff, but the hotel bathrooms really let this place down. head office need to get in there and revamp the bathrooms!! the low rating is purely for the bathrooms !!!

We booked here as a half way road trip to Clacton. Ellie was so welcoming and we were even offered a free breakfast due to the room we had booked not being available due to reasons beyond their control. We had requested a ground floor due to one of us being on crutches. There is loads of parking and the hotel is a separate entrance to the main pub. Access to the pub from the hotel is good. We had a double room. Fluffy white towels and tea/coffee facilities. Large TV and black out curtains which was very welcomed as we were tired. I must say this hotel is so fresh and clean and the corridors smell delightful. Our room was cosey, spotless and the beds were so comfy. We booked with *********** and would highly recommend. The pub next door is very reasonable prices We arrived as the England match in the Euros was starting. The garden had a huge screen and appeared very popular. All staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. Use the app in the bar and drinks are served to your table. Plenty of screens inside for everyone We would definitely return Thank you Ellie and the team! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Managers very accommodating ,kind , domestic staff very friendly ,room spacious ,bed very comfy .free parking ,will return. Restaurant food good ,staff very helpful. No frill's ,a comfortable place close to centre. Thank you Mark and Kirsty

I went to the Broughton today for lunch, drinks and to watch the football with my husband and daughter. It is a fun and chilled space for us all to enjoy the game together ☺️ Fast service for both our food and drinks, happy staff members and a very clean baby changing space!!

We booked the Broughton Hotel for BLUDFEST. The pub food was nice and affordable. The hotel was affordable for a one night stay. Staff members were friendly and went above and beyond especially Sharon. Car access excellent Would recommend!
