Front desk service was very good. Room seemed very dim. Could be brighter … maybe start using led lighting. Tv remote didn’t work. Air conditioning was very cold which was great, but was noisy too , not so great. … cover on bed was stained.

What I like about this place are the spatious rooms including stove, microwave, washing machine, toaster, firdge, cutlery, dishes, etc. From this point of view you feel at home and for long stays buying at the supermarket and eating in your room is a good alternative. The rooms have a working desk, sofa, and raised table to eat. Furniture and some renovation happened a few years ago. The problem is probably they run the hotel too lean with little personnel. Cleaning and bed making is every other day, the cleaning is sloppy, towels sometimes forgotten, toilettes clogged do not flush properly, so there are running issues. Fitness center is OK, swimming pool is too shallow mostly OK for kids. No Yakushi. Noise isolation is poor, especially if your room faces the highway. Breakfast is the usual hotel hot buffet that does not taste. No fruit salads, ultra sweet yogurts are indedible. The hotel is conveniently located close to Mill Creek Mall with several restaurants and shops around which you can reach walking. Overall, mixed feelings.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Erie. They gave me a room that faces a noisy highway. I had to stay there for the 10 nights I paid for. They kept promising to move me to a room that is on the other side of the hotel, but then they kept saying everything is sold out. I hardly got any sleep in my 10 day stay while I was working there. Their wifi is slow and signal is weak. But to top it all the last night I stayed there the AC system wasn’t even working properly. Take my advise and find something else, even if you have to pay a little extra. NEVER coming back here again!

Check in was easy. Our room was on the third floor, facing the hotel behind us. Super quiet. Everything was clean. My son was touring Penn State the next day, so we didn't use the amenities. Breakfast was good both mornings we were there... premade omelets, turkey sausage, corned beef hash, potatoes, and French toast strips. This hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. I like the Homewood Suites because of the kitchens, so convenient when traveling with family. Right before check out, we had an issue with the toilet. The maid in our hallway and the maintenance fellow helped out immediately. We enjoyed our stay.

This was our second stay at this Homewood Suites for business purposes. The first time we were here, we arrived pretty late on a Sunday night, and the mall that was in close proximity to the hotel was closed and dark - the area looked kind of creepy. Add to that the fact that one of the party was awakened in the night by the sound of something going on outside, and looked out to see someone rooting around in the trunk of one of the vehicles, and police taking them away in handcuffs. This most likely colored our perception of the place. This time, however, was a different story. We arrived early in the evening, the stores in the mall were still open, and there were no incidents in the night. Our room was very clean and nice. Not sure if the suites on the 2nd floor are nicer than those on the third floor (where we were placed on our earlier visit), but this room seemed to be a cut above what our recollection of the last stay was. If things have been improved, then bravo!

Great place to stay.quiet, clean. Breakfast was wonderful since they didn’t have cheese on the eggs. We are lactose intolerant and most hotels automatically have cheese on the eggs. Great variety for breakfast and all nice and hot. Staff were wonderful. Sean called us when our room was ready since they were short staffed, Noel got us all set with our keys etc for our stay and Patty was a joy at the breakfast.

The room was okay. View was not good but for a place being near the falls I expected a much nicer stay. Rooms were not ready during check-in and was told I would get a text when room was ready and after a lengthy wait finally went back to the desk and room was ready and had been ready. I received no text.

Sleeping on the highway side is like sleeping with the windows opened. No noise suppression at all. Had to turn the tv volume up higher. The breakfast folded eggs were cold both days they were served. The side door doesn’t lock all the way when closed so this is a safety issue.

Room not very clean, beds very uncomfortable, sofa bed mattress very thin, kitchen dirty, hair in the shower. side door of hotel that was "supposed" to be locked and only a room key could open, completely unlocked. Wasted 80,000 points
