Holiday Inn Express & Suites Quakertown

My family recently stayed here in Room 311. We checked in around 7:20pm with a 5 year old and a 10 month old, ready to get the kids to bed. The person that checked us in was nice. When we arrived at our room, the keys did not work. I went right back down and no one was at the desk, a sign said "I am helping a guest, I will be back in 5 minutes. I waited 5 minutes, and no one arrived, I waited an additional 3. I decided to call the front desk, there was someone else available. As the phone is ringing, the original person comes in apologizing, smelling of smoke. I am speculating, but it seems she was on a smoke break. She re-codes the keys and I can get in the room. After we entered the room, we opened the pull-out bed, and there were not sheets. We opened the closet and took out the bag of pillows and what appeared to be sheets. There was a coat in the closet left by the last guest. My wife brought it down to the front desk. On further inspection, there were no sheets in the bag for the pull out. I called housekeeping and the front desk answered. I shared, that we did not have sheets for the pull out. She made a huffing noise and said housekeeping will be up soon with sheets. I then looked at the main bed, and the sheets were dirty. I had to call housekeeping again and the front desk answered. I explained that the main bed sheets were visibly dirty, and she made another exasperated huffing sound. And said, “I will have housekeeping come up with sheets, I can also offer you a discount on your stay”. I said, “That is fine, thank you, but what I really want is clean sheets”. She huffed again. Housekeeping arrived after 30 minutes and changed the main bed sheets and put sheets on the pull out. We were able to start getting our kids to be around 8:20. The next morning, we noticed we only had 2 bath towels for 4 people. We made it work. No problem, I will just ask for some at the front desk when we leave in the afternoon. My daughter and I used the pool. There were no pool towels available, again, not a problem we can just use our bath towels since I will get some later. We left the hotel around 1:30, I spoke with a new person at the front desk. “Hi, we only had two bath towels and are completely out, would someone be able to leave some towels for us, we are leaving for the afternoon.” The person at the desk assured me “As long as you do not have the do not disturb sign on your door, housekeeping will be up to service the room. But I made a note to make sure you have towels.” We came back to the room at around 7pm. No one had serviced the room, and no one had dropped off towels. It was already late, so I was not going to wait 30 minutes for towels as again, I had 2 young children I wanted to put to bed. All four of us now re-used the towels from the day before. I have never had a problem with other Holiday Inn Express hotels. I understand the product and service I am getting. All I want is a clean room, clean sheets and clean towels. I would rather you

We stayed at the Holiday Inn over a busy hot weekend in late June. The staff was exceptional. They were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The room was clean, and the beds and the pillows were comfortable. They were having a towel shortage when we arrived, so we were given small, thread-bare pool towels. The second night we requested new towels, and were given bath towels that were slightly better. Breakfast options were minimal. They had one type of muffin in packages, onion bagels, cereal, and egg omelettes that were ice cold in the middle. Not lukewarm, but cold. I assume they were frozen and had not been warmed up properly. The eating area was much too small for a hotel size. Considering the cost of our room, I expected more. I did not feel it was worth the money we paid at all. I was very disappointed. I understand now why other hotels in the area were booked that weekend, and not this one. Again, the staff was wonderful. No complaints there. But I do not plan to stay at this hotel again.

WOW! DO NOT. I repeat...DO NOT stay at this location. There are NO redeeming qualities to this location. The "manager" Robert Weber is a con-artist and has charged my card 100.00 for a smoking fee. Here's the kicker: the smoking fee is 250.00 but I was only charged 100.00 because "the front desk staff liked you." The only problem is no one smoked in the room. I would do your best to AVOID this hotel at all costs. The room was already 225.00 dollars for 1 night and was NOT WORTH THE PRICE for a 2 star location. Now on top of that an additional 100.00 dollar charge!? Please Please Please AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. There is a Spring Hill Suites right next door that is much nicer for the price. BUYER BEWARE! This place is a dump

This is an old, dirty hotel! I would not recommend it at all. The one lady we met at the check-in was nice and friendly, but it didn’t make up for how dirty the hotel was. Our bathroom was filthy and you could tell the toilet bowl had not been cleaned in months. You can tell the hotel is old and hasn’t been kept clean.

I was participating in USA Cycling's mountain bike national championships at Bear Creek Resort and wasn't interested in paying $500+ per night at the resort so I looked at options close by. I had several choices but picked the Holiday Inn Express. It was a good location, just off the I476 Quakertown exit and about 25 minutes from Bear Creek. The room was clean and quite with 1 king size bed. I asked for ground level and that's what I got. Plenty of towels and having large bottles (locked to the wall of course) of Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower was a nice touch. Better than those little bottles of cheap stuff. I was up and out earlier than the 6:30am breakfast but the staff did have bread, bagels, and English muffins out so I was able to grab something to eat on my way to the race. I asked for a late checkout and no problem getting it, so I was able to finish my race and return to the hotel to clean up before checking out. I have only stayed at one other chain in that area and it was very nice, too, but I would choose IH Express as my first choice.

Fairly nice room , definitely need some updates . Breakfast staff was absolutely useless. Food was never refilled both days were there . Went to tell her everything was out and she was watching tv. Beds were very comfortable and they had some of the best pillows we have ever had in a hotel. Rooms were clean . We would likely stay here again.

I booked this as part of a group. When I called to book under the group rate the woman at the front desk did not understand me. She thought I was trying to book an entire group (English was not her first language). I decided to book online and square it away when I arrived. Upon check in I asked for the manager who refused to even listen to what I had to say and just said no. I became embarrassed because the rest of my group was waiting to check in behind me. As they came in someone dropped a cooler of ice and water which then spilled out onto the floor. The kind woman at the front desk said not to worry she would clean it up. The manager who was (not) helping me told her "no- they can do it". She replied again the she would and she went to get towels and once again he told her not to help! My husband took the towels from her and helped them clean it up. The rooms need a refresh and there was a strong alcohol smell (whatever they use to clean) that permeated the room and floor. I never got the group rate (even when it was quite obvious we were part of the group). The manager wanted not part in assisting us.

Needed a hotel for overnight stay to attend a funeral. Glad we picked this one. Comfortable and clean! Good breakfast! Not the hotel’s fault that we had a very loud walker above us, thankfully he stopped for us to fall asleep. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The room was clean, fine, and comfortable but there were annoying details that made this hotel average at best. (1) The hotel has only two luggage carts, which obviously were not enough. On arrival we had to wait for a cart to unload our car, and when we were checking out another guest was eager to get our cart when we were done with it. "We're a small hotel" was an inadequate excuse if guests have to stand in line for carts. (2) My room lock kept forgetting my access card. (3) Small low toilets in the room and the public areas are not comfortable to use. (4) Had to ask for extra toilet paper. (5) Inadequate soundproofing; we were on the 2nd floor and could hear noises whenever 3rd floor guests above us walked. across the room. Signage asking guests to be quiet is another indication of noise problem. Front desk personnel were very pleasant.
