Motel 6 Milan, Oh - Sandusky

Horel was very nice only thing our room didn't have a refrigerator. First room we've ever had with no refrigerator. Otherwise very clean and quiet.

Stayed here in the past primarily because of the Tesla destination chargers that were easy to access and plentiful for a hotel of this size. Since my last stay, the rooms seem to be not as well maintained (non-functioning lights, hairs throughout the bathroom, dirty toilet seats). There are other hotels in the area with more amenities (continental breakfast, cleaner) that are only $10-$20 more although they lack the EV chargers. Will be giving those my business on future stays.

Room: Clean, bed hard but whatever. The NEVER AGAIN? We arrived after a late night even at around 1:00 AM. 4ish AM we wake up to a full out brawl between I believe a couple in the hall. They’re chasing each other up and down the hall, He’s yelling profanities at her, she’s screaming back, you can hear them fist fighting. Call the front desk FOUR TIMES to have them handle things. NO ANSWER! The couple finally goes into their room….We leave….5:15 AM. Get to the front desk to this kid in his 20s on the phone trying to be forceful and tell said couple that they need to “leave right now because you’re being too loud. I’m serious, you need to leave now or I’m calling the police.” Mind you, this has now been going on for an HOUR where we tried calling, couldn’t safely get out of our room, and he STILL HASN’T CALLED THE POLICE TO HANDLE THIS ISSUE!” Tell this kid we want a refund for the room. We have only been here for 4 hours max and really haven’t slept at all. He hands us his regional manager’s card. We tell him we want to check out right now. His response? “I can’t check you out right now because I’m in the middle of an audit!” Seriously? Nope. Never again.

If you are just looking for a place to sleep that is clean and comfortable, this will fit the bill. 4 Tesla charging stations are a nice benefit. Rooms are basic, no frills. Really just beds and a bathroom. Seem to be recently painted but not really updated, especially the bathroom.

For $164 our Saturday stay at the Filth Hut included a room that smelled like smoke, floors that turned our feet black, a slow-running sink drain, a shower hose that was hand-held only because the bracket to hold it was broken, and no bathmat besides. Zero restaurants within walking distance other than McDonald's. How this dump ever made it to "Very Good" in the reviews is a complete mystery. I'd guess it's because it's better than some nearby holes such as Days Inn and Red Roof, but there's a Hampton Inn just down the street, and they offer clean rooms and breakfast.

I booked a room for 2 nights kind of last minute on the holiday weekend. I am experienced staying in a variety of hotels and have stayed in almost every hotel in this area because I frequently go cedar point with my children and their mother. Overall price was okay considering the weekend and the events in the area, bike week and holiday weekend. The ac in the room did not work at all. The first night it was 80 degrees in the room and thankfully there was a window I could open to somewhat alleviate the issue. I was tired and was unsure if it was truly not working or I just didnt do something correctly. We had a busy schedule planned and spending time messing with the AC was not on the forefront of my agenda. The second night when we got back to the room I had the AC set on 50 all day and it was once again 80 degrees. At this point I was highly annoyed because honestly if theres one thing I expect from any hotel room it is work ac and cable. I decided in the end not to say anything to staff because it was a holiday weekend and I highly doubt they would have switched my room because of this. I also didnt feel like spending the time or effort having to deal with staff and get upset for no real resolution. Doubt I would consider booking there again.

I really like this hotel it is close to a lot of restaurants an the staff was friendly an very helpful. for the price of the rooms you can't beat it my children an I enjoyed our stay the staff went above an beyond

Had never stayed at a Mitel 6. We needed a hotel just for a few hours sleep and a shower. Also needed a hotel that allowed two small dogs. The hotel we normally stay in Milan was full. The other hotels either were also full or didn’t allow pets. We were tired and didn’t want to drive any farther so we tried Motel 6. It suited our needs. Allowed pets, for free, was very clean and front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. The room was a basic room with two full sized beds, two chairs and table, a safe and flat screen tv. Also, the was ample lighting, not dark like other hotels. On the negative side, the blankets were very worn and the towels not so soft. The bed sheets and pillows were fine. Our room didn’t have a fridge or microwave—some rooms had them.

Pat and Laura were very kind in helping me out to find a great place for breakfast when checking out. My room was very cozy and the price was great for my budget. I would recommend this motel and I would stay again.
