Aparthotel Ona Campanario

"Booked via Interval international and wasn’t disappointed. On arrival check in friendly and helpful, had made several attempts to check in via the Ona hotel app to no avail?? Just had an updated electronic system whilst we were there so this hopefully will improve. Eduardo at reception was excellent and very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. Was surprised we were allocated a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment for just 2 people. The apartment was very dated and definitely needs a facelift as does the outside of the whole apartment blocks. Our apartment was super clean and very spacious with a large balcony with table and 6 chairs, roof top solarium with no furniture and definitely needs a handrail to safely get up and down. There are small flower beds around the balcony sadly full of weeds and not maintained when they could be so pretty. Some apartments must be privately owned as they seem to be furnished outside/ plants etc around and we were told by some other guests they had furniture on the solarium. Our apartment was great, fully equipped, toaster, microwave, full size fridge freezer, full size hob and oven with utility room, washing machine and iron and ironing board , brush and mop. Bathrooms plenty of towels, body/ hair wash provided, both shower’s super hot and powerful. Lovely comfortable bed with blackout curtains. Lovely gardens around the pool are though grass full of thistles so don’t walk barefoot!! No entertainment or restaurant on site though small shop, further down the hill 5/10 minute walk are small supermarkets and several restaurants. The apartments are set in a gorgeous green residential area at the top of several steep hills with apparently a small bus that goes up and down once an hour. Be mindful also if you are going to the supermarket and need a taxi/ Uber back up the steep hill the prices are astronomical and scandalous, we were stunned at €18 for 1.5 mile journey!!!!! Not clear if this is a place on the up or on a decline? Definitely needs some TLC and investment though we had a great time and would return. NOT suitable for anyone who can not manage steps, whilst there are ramps throughout the grounds all the apartments have steps up or down to access them. We would also the area is not suitable for people with any mobility issues due to all the hills"
