The Orchards Executive Accommodation

"We stayed at The Orchards after our wedding at the adjacent Forest Walk Venue. While the convenience of being so close to the venue is a clear advantage, the overall accommodation experience was disappointing. The rooms were clean but very dated; old finishes, poor lighting, and in clear need of an upgrade. They are functional but far from high-end and not suitable for pre-wedding preparations or photography if that’s something you’re hoping for. On a positive note, Molly, who hosted us on the day, was excellent — warm, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, this was overshadowed by the booking process itself, which was by far the most frustrating part of the experience. Reserving rooms required constant follow-ups and phone calls, and communication felt disorganised and reactive rather than guest-focused. The Orchards benefits significantly from the steady stream of guests brought in by the Forest Walk wedding venue, but this reliance shows. Improved management, clearer communication, and better guest engagement would go a long way in making post-wedding stays more pleasant and in line with expectations. Currently, the convenience is the main draw, not the accommodation experience itself."

"I was greeted by a very friendly humble man in chef's clothes. I was stuck in traffic and had nothing to eat for the whole day, they arranged the most delicious dinner for me - Lamb stew, rice, potatoes, and salad. i was so great full for the man going out of his way to make me feel comfortable. The bedroom was a bit hot (we know its summer), but there was a nice aircon in the living room."

"Hotel is super well located if you go to exhibition center, 5 min walking distance. You can order food or walk 15 min to a close mall. Staff are friendly and helpful, 5 stars I had few issues with water pressure and needed to ask for help twice, rooms have no phone so you have to walk until front desk. Breakfast is also ok, you can have bread, cheese, yogurt, egg, fruits, etc"

"It's too cold and damp, the heating is inadequate, and it's quite remote. Calling Uber or Eats is inconvenient. The room door is one of those old-fashioned ones that require double locking. It's cold overall, and dinner service ends very early. If possible, it would be better to stay in a more lively area, where eating and getting around are more convenient. This location is too desolate."

Kyalami Creek

"As a family, we stayed at Kyalami Creek on 6-7 July and then the 11-12 July 2023. The two bedroom apartments are beautifully furnished and with the cold, snowy weather we we’re experiencing at the time, we appreciated the AC to heat the main room and the small floor heater provided in the apartment. Pleasure was an absolute pleasure at check in and I cannot recommend her enough, she made me feel so welcomed and remembered our preferences for the follow up stay. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast provided and found the apartment to be well equipped and modern. Tea, coffee, milk, hand soap and fresh towels are all provided which is another nice touch. Thank you for a fabulous stay, we hope to return soon."
