Comfort Inn & Suites Fuquay Varina

We were treated awful by front desk manager. He demanded $100 incidentals from my debit card. I told him the room was paid by 16,000 reward points. We did not have enough in our bank for them to hold $100 for 3-5 days. We had a bank issue to begin with. But he was a heartless brick wall. I even offered him to hold $100 cash while we stayed the night there. I asked to speak to the owner. Front desk manager said the owner would say the same thing. Property under renovation 1st floor closed. It was stinky and dirty and rude front desk manager. Please don't stay here unless you want to be disrespected. I am a platinum member and never smoke and always keep the room clean . I had to leave lose my 16,000 points and pay full price for another hotel.

Stayed here for several days while visiting family and its located close to many business'. This hotel is under renovation as we were told but I never saw any workers or building equipment at anytime or anyone hauling anything in or out. In any event, check in was easy tho it was very early morning when we arrived but we got a poor room. everything looked fine but was cold inside and turned up the warm air..mistake..the air conditioner fan unit started out chugging and then quiet and then just got loud on and off. we slept terrible. didn't matter even off and it shuttered for some reason. I switched rooms early the next day from a very nice front desk lady who gave us a room actually right next door and it was like night vs day. very comfy beds, plenty of towels, the air conditioner unit WORKED right and was quiet, good water pressure. Staff here is very cordial and accommodating. they keep the lobby area very clean and offer coffee but its not kept hot around the clock as other corporate hotels offer. housekeeping staff can be seen daily. the breakfast room has a good variety of food items daily for all ages and plenty of tables . grounds seem to be in fair condition and shrubs have been cared for. There was a pool at one time and now it's basically the eyesore on the property. Mgmt should fix it or fill it in and make some kind of courtyard for guests to enjoy the outside on beautiful nights since they have nothing now for guests like, outside chairs or even a bench out front. we saw many people congregate in the parking lot instead so it sure would benefit and enhance the hotel and show a commitment to more even comfort for the guests with some sort of outside seating on beautiful evenings. would stay here again.

The hotel is undergoing room renovations so half of the hotel rooms are unavailable. We were not in a renovated room but happy to know it will be renovated in the future, because it desperately needs updating. Staff at this hotel are excellent. Went above and beyond to try to make us comfortable. However the condition of the room was subpar. Outlets not working, tired furniture and a couch that had very questionable stains all over. We put down towels to sit on it. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. Would stay again once the renovations are complete. Good location near lots of restaurants. Try Garibaldi's!

This is a dishonest hotel. I made an advance payment reservation several months ago I later cancelled the reservation several weeks before the free cancellation date. I have called the hotel and the corporate office twice. I still have not received my refund. Now I have resorted to disputing the charge with the bank. I have been a Choice Hotel member for several years, but now I will rethink doing any further business with them.

It is in a good location. The receptionist at night and another during the day were friendly. Coffee, hot chocolate, water was always available. The breakfast was hot and tasty. It is an older hotel and was clean. The bathrooms have been updated but the rooms need more updates. The curtains were in threads, the air condition had cool air but seem not to remove the moisture. Several mentioned the pool and it was not working or the chairs even spread out.

The swimming pool had no water. The fitness center was out-of-order. The breakfast buffet was adequate. The toilet bowl in room 108 wobbled and whistled! The bathroom door needed some paint. The room had a musky smell to it.

This Hotels best asset is its proximity to everything in Fuquay. Front desk staff are friendly and attentive. acknowledging a good morning to patrons every morning. Theres coffee in the lobby around the clock, Its a well maintained hotel and clean. there were small problems with the locks on some doors. our key cards didn't work after only a couple uses and we later overheard other patrons mentioning their keys had to be stuck in the reader twice for it to work or the door handle has to be pulled up after closing..? ..not an expert on card reading locks but have seen enough problems like this at other hotels to know that usually those are subtle signs that the locks need to be checked and /or recalibrated.. simply put they're probably older and with continual use, wearing out. reissuing new cards may be a short term fix, easier perhaps and cheaper but the safety of customers should be the utmost priority in this day of age as it only takes one incident for a small problem to become a large one. We noticed that accessible rooms are next to the elevators for convenience I suspect. another tidbit about accessible rooms is, if you stay on a Tuesday night, be prepared to hear the trash being picked up in the morning the next day just outside the windows by the elevator. the dumpster is on the north side of the hotel and its loud early Wednesday morning. The room itself was good sized, has many hi tech outlets and was comfortable outside of trying to figure out the room heating/air unit. It was hard to maintain a constant temperature. we tried to set it to 72 with the fan on for circulation and it kept automatically going back to 75 and shutting down so it was stuffy. water pressure is pretty good and we had plenty of hot water during our stay. we noticed housekeeping on duty most of the day and they are available if needing towels or anything else. the continental breakfast is good and offers several hot items, eggs, sausage, make your own Belgium waffle, hot and cold cereal, juices, yogurt and fruit. great for on the go and kept stocked and cleaned during breakfast hours by a busy attendant. another option is several breakfast places within walking distance or less than a mile. Overall , a nice hotel to stay at while visiting or discovering Fuqua-Varina and outlying areas.

The staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The room was quiet. We chose this hotel because we could bring our dogs, although plans changed and we ended up not bringing them. I appreciate dogs are allowed. The breakfast was a real hot breakfast and not a grab and go.

This is probably the most disgusting hotel I’ve stayed in over the past 30 years. I checked out the same night that I checked in, when I asked to speak with a manager to let them know my concerns they told me the manager had quit the week before. When I asked to speak with whoever is in charge, Rhoda or Rhonda at the front desk told me she would have the owner reach out to me but of course I have yet to hear from anyone. they told me he was not accessible And they refused to give me his name….They can keep my money I don’t care, I hope others don’t deal with the gross filth that I had to deal with.
