Hilton Garden Inn Dayton South / Austin Landing

I was in town for an unexpected, extended visit and the Hilton Garden Inn, Austin Landing was a great place for me to stay. The rooms were comfortable, the restaurant was good, the service was great and the hotel staff were wonderful. AARON – Was very helpful at the front desk. Friendly every day, and helpful when I needed his assistance. He took everything in stride and delivered the best possible customer service experience. BRIAN – Was a very friendly, kind and great bartender and server at the restaurant every day. He was fun to talk to and his service was wonderful. He really knows how to make people feel welcome. JIMBO – Was a wonderful chef who made excellent meals and was flexible in personalizing them as I requested. That was so very helpful. THE FRONT DESK GUEST SERVICES TEAM: Bridget, Karon, Agapi and Nicole – These women helped me with all of my needs during my extended stay, and they did a great job with everything I needed and requested. I found this location convenient to restaurants, coffee shops and the grocery store. I enjoyed the lobby of the hotel which had big windows and comfortable seating to do work or watch TV. It’s a very inviting hotel that I think everyone would enjoy when staying in that area. This hotel is a lovely place to stay and the people who work there make it special and worthwhile. I really enjoyed it!

Staff was super friendly, rooms were clean, and there was plenty of parking at the Hilton Garden. Want to give a huge shout out to Brian for taking care of me and my family at out rehearsal dinner after party on Friday night. Brain managed to keep our drinks filled, make us laugh, and still serve other patrons outside of our party with a great attitude. Even after the bar closed, Brian made sure that we were all comfortable and taken care of before he left. Thanks for being so welcoming and courteous to me and my family.

The room was clean spacious, nice walk in shower. Shampoo, conditioner and lotion was available and mounted in the walls. Fridge and microwave available as well as a coffee pot. Easy contactless check in available via app (though room app selected by app was not ready, the front desk quickly found an available room )

This hotel is a very nice property. The front desk and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was closed but the bartender made us delicious Caesar salads and wings and made a very good martini. If you want the convenience of a full HGI menu, call ahead.

My wife and I stayed here on a Sunday night while visiting my brother who lives in Dayton. Some Garden Inns where we have stayed have been disappointing, however, this location is one we would highly recommend. It appears to be new or at least newly remodeled, and there are several areas we felt were improvements over other Garden Inns. On our Hilton app, we were able to check in as we left Indianapolis, and were even able to select the room Hilton suggested to us. Upon our arrival, several hours later, a little after 3:00 pm (their advertised check-in time), we found that our room still wasn’t ready. Unfortunately, we had been hoping to change our clothes for our event immediately upon arrival. Luckily, the lady at the front desk quickly found us another room which was very much appreciated. She even comped our Monday morning breakfast for not getting the room we had previously selected. Our room was nice, clean, neat, and comfortable. We liked that the room was supplied with ample disposable paper cups in the room and bathroom, very handy for brushing teeth, etc. The bathroom itself was a little on the small side, but we appreciated it came with the more modern walk-in shower vs. the old-fashioned step-over tub. The bathroom also came equipped with a lotion dispenser, which was greatly appreciated since we never seem to pack enough lotion when traveling. We had a very pleasant stay here and can only hope to find other Garden Inns like this in the future.

The hotel was clean and looked nice. Includes a microwave and fridge which is rare these days. Staff were not the best. Rep at the front desk did not even offer water although I qualify and she gave it to tge guest before me. She tge argued that I only included two adults on my reservation so she could only give me two breakfast tickets. She keeps looking and says I'll just give you 3 like she's doing me a favor. When I get back to my phone, I confirmed I was right. Turns out the breakfast ****** an wasn't worth the extra money. They did not explain that you have to sit down and order to get something cooked hot. Didn't really have time for that since there was only one person working the entire area.

A nice clean, quiet place with a great staff. The rooms are well appointed, microwave, refrigerator, nice big screen tv, lots of channels. Shopping in walking distance. Can’t say enough about the friendly staff.

I stayed there with my husband and two young children and I can tell you that if you expect any type of cleanliness, don't stay here. When we first entered our room, I noticed that the decorative chairs had stains all over them. Even the one in our bedroom did. I had to ask for e tea sheets so I could cover the chairs so that we could sit down on something clean. When I opened the sofa bed for my 6 year old to sleep on, that mattress was also covered in black stains. So disgusting. Speaking of clean...you have to request to have your room cleaned. We did so 3 times and only once did someone come. The one time housekeeping actually came after our first night, they didn't even make our beds. It was hard to even tell that the room had even been cleaned. Then, when I called the front desk on our last day to ask why our room hadn't been cleaned, they told me that housekeeping said they had been there, implying that somehow I was mistaken. I assured her that no one had cleaned our room. I'm pretty sure I would know the difference. Our room had towels that needed replacing, and overflowing trash cans. I called the front desk to ask for more towels and she told me to come down and get them since she was the only one working and couldn't leave the front desk. The only good people were the ones working the breakfast bar. Overall this place is horribly understaffed and the cleanliness is way below par. You're better off staying somewhere else. Very disappointing for a Hilton.
