Hotel Garibaldi

Our 2 nights in this hotel met our needs perfectly. The room is old fashioned and basic, but it was a bed and bathroom which is all we needed. Our package (different hotels around Italy) didn't include breakfast, we chose to go over the road and had gorgeous pancakes and a full English! The staff make this hotel 5 star. Greeted like important visitors, made to feel incredibly welcome. Our flight home wasn't until late, but the hotel staff looked after our cases all day so we could enjoy Venice without them. Bus stop right outside, get on the no2 over the road and go all the way to Venice. Within walking distance is the town centre of Mestre - go! Thank you again Hotel Garibaldi, you made our short stay with you a happy one.

Lovely hotel, staff very helpful, good value breakfast. This is a traditional old style hotel, family run. The hotel is well positioned. Rooms clean and well looked after. Bathroom was too small and poorly laid out. This hotel is not Disability friendly and does not have lift. Windows in the room have shutters on them.

I visited with my husband for a couple of nights. The room is basic, but more than adequate. However this was made up for by the lovely staff - nothing was too much trouble, even when our plane was diverted and we arrived at 3am, some 6 hours late! We had an excellent breakfast in the garden which was a delight, especially the fragrance of the jasmine growing there. The icing on the cake was the number 2 bus outside the door takes you straight into Venice! Don’t just base yourself there for Venice, go to Mestre, lovely & laid back - perfetto!

Myself and my daughter travelled from England as a 21st birthday treat for my daughter and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is in a perfect location, you can get a number 2 bus outside that takes you in to venice. The train station is a 25 minute walk or you can get a number 2 bus there also. The hotel sell bus tickets for 3 euros each. You can get a coach from the train station to to the airport for 10 euros. There are lots of shops and restaurants just a 2 minute walk from the restaurant. The hotel is lovely, very clean and tidy. The air conditioning in the room is wonderful, their is also a fridge and a safe. Our room was cleaned daily. We had breakfast included and I'm really glad we did, the breakfast room is very pretty (looks better than photos) and there was lots of choice, scrambled eggs, toast,cereals,yogurts,fruit, croissants, cakes and more. The staff were so lovely to us. Our European plug didn't work, the kind staff member lent one to us which was an absolute godsend, thank you so much, another staff member suggested getting the bus from the train station to the airport which really helped us, thank you. The owners were also really lovely. We saw the lady every morning at breakfast, she worked very hard making sure our breakfast was perfect and it was. The Husband was equally as lovely helping his wife and also managing the desk and his English was great too. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Petit hôtel bien situé près du centre de Mestre, avec restaurants à proximité. Très bien tenu et propreté irréprochable. Personnel attentionné et serviable, de bon conseil sur les transports, restaurants... Petit déjeuner servi à table et très copieux, très bon rapport qualité-prix. Le bus pour Venise juste devant l'hôtel, l a station de bus et tram non loin pour aller à Venise. Merci a Lorella, Luigi, Joel, Roberta, et l'autre dame du petit déjeuner !
