Wir blieben auf einer Gruppentour. Dieses ist sauber funktionales Hotel. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit zwei Queen-Bett und ein großes Duschezimmer. Wirklich effizientes Luftkon. Gutes Duschezimmer mit heißem Wasser. Das Frühstück am Morgen war süße Käse-Omelette mit den üblichen gefrierten Bäumen und sehr leicht gebrächtes weißes Brot mit Schlamm geliefert. Kaffee ok. Es gibt einen Schwimmbad im Hotel, das wir nicht verwendet haben. Der große Bonus für dieses Hotel ist die Lage, da es nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Zocalo/Grande Plaza ist.

Hotel is located very near to the center, offers free parking and the staff is very nice. For the price you should be satisfied. However, for the 4 stars claimed, there are few areas of improvement. The isolation is bad, you can hear all other guests. The drains are kind of clogged so water keeps gathering in the bathroom. The bed, although it‘s advertised as a double bed, can hardly accommodate two persons, even if they are hugging. There were also some bugs in the room, not cockroaches but still, so there is a need of some measure there. All in all, a good place if you want good value for money and be central in Merida.

NH Collection ist ein modernes, trendiges Hotel in der Nähe von Merida Centro. Das Restaurant bietet ein bezahltes Frühstück, das ziemlich schmeckt, und als Weltreisende haben wir keinen feineren Essensservice gefunden als der, den unser aufmerksamster, höflicher und wirklich freundlicher Server, Ezekuiel, bietet! Der Generalmanager kümmert sich wirklich um die Gästeerfahrung und hält an unserem Tisch auf, um zu fragen, wie unser Aufenthalt ist. Nicht viele der Mitarbeiter des Frontdesk sprechen Englisch. Allerdings diente Elmer (der Bellhop) als willkommener Übersetzer während unseres Aufenthalts 16-day.

Nice hotel with friendly service. I've stayed in Fiesta Americana hotels a lot and know generally what to expect. This one lives up to the high Americana standards. It is in a good location, near good restaurants, but not in the central area of town. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are nice. The bar had live music on Friday night and the band was great. Across the street is an outdoor restaurant that also had live music at night. The first floor of the Fiesta Americana hotel is all shops, so the actual hotel lobby is on the next floor. At the top of the escalator, in the lobby, there will be one or two people who will approach you and offer to help you with anything. They are very nice, but their goal is to sell you something like a timeshare. We refused to talk to them about that, so we never got the full explanation. We also got a phone call in our room, from the same people, telling us they had a free gift for us. We did ask these people for recommendations of local activities and they were very nice and helpful. Included was a light breakfast and snacks/drinks on the fifth floor. This was very convenient and the food was simple, but good. The only real surprise we had was at check out. We found that there is a charge for the self serve coffee in the room. I never use anything from the mini-bar or anything in the room that has an extra cost. I do not remember seeing anything about the coffee costing something. So many other places it is free/included. The hotel did reduce our charge for the coffee, but be aware that there is a charge.

El hospedaje fue muy tranquilo y relajante, todo el personal muy amable, resuelven cualquier problematica que se presente, regresaría a hospedarme, el desayuno es básico y esta incluido, cuenta con alberca y se encuentra a unas cuadras del centro de Merida, cuenta con estacionamiento,

A few days before, we stayed in another hotel a few blocks away for the same price, but stayed here when we returned to Merida. It was better a better value here. I would stay here again. PROs: GREAT value for the cheap price! The location was perfect - one block from Parque Santa Lucía, a lively area with shops, parks, and restaurants, about a 7 min walk north to the start of the main ”*****” of Merida - Avenida Montejo, and an 8 min walk south to the Zocalo. Great day desk clerk! The night clerk was just kinda there. The decor was really cute. My friend and I stayed in the Hollywood room. The A/C worked well (even if it was loud) and there was also a large ceiling fan. The shower water was hot. There's no fridge or microwave in the room, but the desk clerk offered to keep my drink in the staff fridge. There's a microwave in a small common patio dining area with a few tables. There IS an elevator, but it's extremely small and slow. The lobby is small, but air conditioned. Bag storage. CONs: The room was not large, but it wasnt tiny, either. It was still comfortable for 2 people. The bathroom was small, but functional. The water pressure was low. No window, so the bathroom was hot and humid after showers. No sink counter space. Slippery shower tile. The ”pool” is really just a small plunge/ standing pool that's located right in front of the small lobby. The room did smell a tad musty, but it was faint. I think it had as much to do with the A/C as the dusty velvet drapes. Our room window overlooked the ”pool”, so it was made of blurry glass for privacy, which was fine, but it did not open, so we could not get any air. It was hotter than Hades outside, so I doubt we would've opened it, anyway. We did open the curtains, though, because the room lighting was a bit dark, so I suppose the blurry glass was better than everyone in the lobby staring into our room. The closet was an alcove with a shelf. It was doable, but only for one large suitcase, really. The beds were hard, but typical for Mexico. It's located on a side street and there isn't any parking. But guests can park at the public lot a block away and the hotel validates the parking. **The garage is NOT 24/7, but the receptionist can go unlock the garage door for you after hours. ***HOWEVER, keep in mind the entire street is blocked off (and enforced by police presence) on Sundays for bicycles, so it was very difficult for us to get the car that day. Plan accordingly.

Großer Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Personal ist sehr freundlich und Lebensmittel im Restaurant ist guter Qualität. Wir haben zum ersten Mal 2 Nächte geblieben, reiste um den Yucatán, dann kamen wir zurück zu diesem Hotel wegen seiner Komfort zum Flughafen.
