Courtyard Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport

Traveling with my elderly father required an accessible room joined to a regular room. Seems simple but it was nearly impossible after talking to 6 hotels. The team at this Courtyard owned it and got it nailed. They followed up and were helpful in the whole process. That gets them 10 out of 10. THEN when we were arrived, the entire staff was helpful, positive and happy. All seemed to like their job and each other. Seemed like Disney!! What a great spot.

We had a block of rooms for a softball nationals, rule that the courtyard closed at 9pm because it was a "business" hotel. Then don't use your hotel for teams. I see why only 1 other team booked at this hotel out of over 100 teams. The staff (presumably management) were incredibly rude to many kids and a couple parents (as they were packing up to go inside at 9pm). We were told construction should be done by the time we arrived, but that wasn't the case. We were informed the day OF check in that the pool was not done. 12 year old girls want to swim. I get you have to do updates, but again, don't block rooms for teams if all amenities aren't going to be available, or be very up front about it. The plus was they offered $30 off per night due to the inconvenience, as well as free breakfast, which was already free, but it was appreciated. The 2 or 3 hot items for breakfast were slightly warm, one day it was cold. The hotel itself seemed clean, and the beds were pretty comfortable. The bathroom was small and there was barely any water pressure, sometimes basically dribbling out for short periods. The refrigerator was tiny so we had to keep most of our food and drinks in our cooler. We planned on eating in our room with food we brought instead of eating out every meal, but there was no microwave. Our patio door didn't close all the way so we couldn't lock it. Overall the hotel was clean, but I wouldn't stay there again.

This is a very old hotel. They are doing work to it, so it may be getting better. I stayed here for three nights in June 2023, and it was pretty basic. The room was pretty old and needed updating. The bed was nice, and I believe the room is quiet. But it was small and just felt old and in desperate need of a refresh. Not a place you’d want to come as a couple.

So, I admittedly only stayed her because Delta caused me to miss my flight connection, and this was the free hotel that I was offered that was also closet to the airport. I actually had stayed here one night about 2.5 years ago and had forgotten that I had until I arrived at the hotel. There is a shuttle, but if it's late at night I believe you need to call them (I arrived around 10:00pm) to have the shuttle come pick you up so I just used Uber to get to the hotel. The check-in staff were a bit quirky, but were polite - although as a Marriott platinum member I am entitled to 4:00p.m. checkout, and they were quick to tell me nothing past 2:00p.m. (although I only needed until 1:00p.m. anyway). The hotel is not in the best state, and everything feel sort of worn, but the room is clean enough. They do offer breakfast and coffee in morning, but I didn't partake. Admittedly, it does look like they are remodeling as the entire upstairs seemed to be closed. There is a gym, which had a fair amount of cardio equipment but it honestly didn't look that well maintained so I didn't bother to try it. I mean this is an airport Courtyard in the U.S., so I don't expect 5 star anything, and if they can update the property a bit it could be a bit better. I did use the shuttle to get to the airport the next day, but you have to tell the front desk the next morning what time you plan to leave. The shuttle driver the following morning was very nice. Overall, it's fine for a night, but I wouldn't want to spend any more than that at this property.

Never, ever, ever, leave your car at the Courtyard Mendota Heights, MN, with he park and fly option! The hotel has no security cameras, disavows any responsibility for theft or damage, and if your car is damaged/vandalized, they won’t even refund the cost of the parking! Zero concern for customers here, all they care about is getting your cash!

I visited in June by myself and this female employee was super rude to me. She spoke to me as if I were a child, raised her voice to me, and was very condescending to me. I asked her why she was yelling at me and her excuse was that she was "wearing a mask" but that doesn't excuse her rudeness and sarcasm towards me. While I witnessed her treat white male guests with the utmost respect, she definitely treated me opposite. Her prejudice was obvious towards me as an Asian-American female and I am a US Army veteran. Also, when I checked out, I said "Thank you" to the male employee TWICE and was NOT told anything back. Nobody thanked me for my stay. I guess if you are a white male you will be treated like gold. However, this ****** female was very rude to me and gave me a bad impression of St.Paul, MN in general. This is the first time I visited here and was treated like absolutely crap. I was respectful and asked for everything. I told all the employees "Thank you" and addressed everyone as "Sir," "Ma'am" or their name and I was treated like a subhuman like I was fresh off the boat. I hate this hotel's treatment of me. I emailed the manager but he in no way apologized to me as he did the other guests on TripAdvisor telling the guests with the 1 star reviews, "I am so sorry..." I never got that. Just a sad copy and paste email with no real apology and even said in his email that I should give them another chance. This is the first time I have EVER stayed at a Courtyard. Unless they give me a free hotel night, then I will never come back. It should be SHAMEFUL how these people acted representing the Marriot Courtyard brand. I expected the MINIMAL amount of civility and respect and was treated badly based on my race as an Asian-American female. By the way, the same blonde rude obnoxious employee treated some white male guest OVERLY nice and he was a US Army veteran like I was. It's amazing how him and I can both serve the US Army yet he gets treated better based on his race and his gender. The message that gave me is that if you are a white male you will be treated with gold, and if you are an Asian-female you will be treated like dirt. Sometimes people like her reflect their true prejudices in their behavior and they don't even realize it but it shows. She acted as if she were superior to me when she looked and spoke like a true "Karen."

I love Marriott! Very consistent, This was a great location, employees wonderful. I had an unexpected layover due to flight delay. I was going to take the hotel shuttle to the airport the next morning. I was astonished that on a small hotel shuttle van there were no masks required. At this time the Omicron variant was spreading. The whole van was full of several families and children traveling to Mexico. Not a single mask, except for the driver. I felt as if Marriott did not care for the safety of the guests at all!
