The room was so dirty, we bought disinfectant wipes the first day and cleaned ourselves. When you walked across the tile floors your feet would make a sticking sound. The arms of the sofa were so dirty, we sacrificed clothing to put down on it before we sat. The shades were dirty and had holes in them. The bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work and the shower glass had clearly been replaced by a curtain that was mounted too high, so every time we showered the entire floor was wet, which probably explains the disgusting black mold on the grout and caulk. We spent extra money on the suite because it indicated a full kitchen. We called to inquire about that before we booked because we wanted the ability to cook in the room. We even put a notation in our booking that we wanted to reserve a cooktop. We were given numerous excuses, such as it was locked in a closet and the person with the key wasn’t in. We never did get the cooktop and, therefore, purchase 3 dinners that were an unexpected expense. The second day I reported the fan, the curtain and our dissatisfaction with the cooktop situation and asked what they planned to do to compensate us for having to purchase meals we were not expecting to have to pay for. The person who indicated she was the manager avoided answering the question 3 times in spite of the satisfaction guaranty posted in the lobby. They did nothing to try to make us feel that our concerns were important. Not up to Hilton standards. We would never stay at a Hilton again.
