Dykefield Farm B&B

Please don’t take offence when I describe my stay as an “old fashioned B&B” but rather a compliment The host gave me a warm welcome and showed me to me room (the main photo) which was clean and had all I needed. A clean, warm and comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making. Alarm clock. Television with free view. Very tasty porridge at breakfast along with a “Scottish breakfast” cooked to perfection. All at a very reasonable. Will certainly return if I’m back to this part of the country

The host was the loveliest woman ever! She was soo accommodating around late check in (We had had to travel to Scotland from Leeds after work meaning we arrived at 10pm). The room was lovely and clean and bed was super comfy….. I slept like a log. The toilet and bathroom was downstairs and also nice and clean. To say it was a working farm it was very quiet and we slept wonderfully. Breakfast was included (something that is not always offered these day) and we were kindly asked to pick our own time….. and we were well fed with a smile 😊 The location is off the beaten track and ideal if you want some peace and quiet, and I don’t think you could ask for a more friendly and welcoming host. I will definitely be returning.
