A new option for Atlanta Braves baseball trips...but DON'T EVEN. I've attended dozens of Atlanta Braves home games at the new Truist Park from out of town and have stayed at many area hotels surrounding the ballpark and Battery entertainment area. This spot, although new, was the absolute worst experience of any of the hotels I've stayed while attending America's past-time in Atlanta. The newness of the property and the assumed value from the quoted cost was what attracted me for this particular stay of the night of August 7, 2024. Probably too far for most people to walk to game (which would include a solid hill to navigate along the way to and fro), but I'm a season ticket holder and had a parking spot, so that did not really matter. Just saying. So, as a Platinum IHG Rewards member, I arrived approximately 1:30 in the afternoon the day of the game on a hot and humid Atlanta summer day. I had to wait in the lobby for over an hour for my room, because it wasn't ready, despite my Platinum status. Finally I was checked in. When I opened the door to my room, rather than the expected refreshing welcoming and cool temperature that I have come to expect at most hotels, especially the other properties surrounding Truist Park that I have experienced before, I was blasted with a room that was blowing air out and a room temperature of 85 degrees on the thermostat. Not a welcoming environment to settle into before making my way to the game. I called the front desk to alert them to the situation. They assured me that the A/C is triggered by a motion detector and that the room would cool off quickly. It did not. After a couple hours, it had cooled to 78 degrees, not exactly comfortable in a paid hotel room on a hot and humid summer day, but it was time to get to the game. I had concerns that it would still be about 78 by the time I got back after the game and mentioned that to the front desk. They assured me that now that I was checked in, the A/C would continue to cool and it should be nice after the game. IT WAS NOT. A very hot and humid night outside watching baseball and the thought of returning to a cool room was the experience I was expecting. The thermostat was back to 85 when I got back to the room. I called for the third time to the front desk about my temperature concerns about 11 or so, but they were busy and said they would call right back. A half hour later approximately 1130 I finally heard back from the front desk, but I was tired, did not want to pack up and move out and had already been prepared for rest. The temperature had cooled to only 82, but I was tired of dealing with it. A restless night ensued with temps in the low 80's in the room as late as 2 am. Hard to sleep in a new hotel when you are sweating. Exhausted, I eventually fell asleep and woke in the morning. Never got cooler than 77 or so in the room. Missed the free breakfast out of exhaustion and prepared to check out. Upon check out, I asked to speak to th
